Korea's Green Arcade Closes its Doors

The end of an era. Green Game Land (그린게임랜드) in Daerim, South Korea is shutting down. News of the closure was posted by Knee alongside a photo showing the arcade closing up and starting to haul all the cabinets out. For many years, Green Arcade has been the cultural Tekken mecca that produced the best players in the entire world and you can see it with walls filled with posters and trophies across many Tekken games. All the longstanding history from the arcade; dating back to ancient days of the earlier Tekkens, are now over. The future for Korean Tekken in arcades is now uncertain. Thanks for playing.

T7FR - Bohee (Steve) VS Help Me (Akuma) Deathmatch

Korean Tekken player Help Me needs no major introduction as a specialist with every Tekken character so seeing his take on the new guest character Akuma in T7FR is interesting. His opponent however isn't some random Tekken player, Bohee is a really high ranked Steve player in T7 and was in S.Korea among the highest ranked players back in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, making this deathmatch between them a good watch. Green Arcade recently streamed this on their Twitch channel but it is now up on their YouTube channel for viewing. Enjoy.

MASTERCUP.8 Korean Qualifier at Green Arcade on Oct. 24

A brief announcement but DJVamp over on Tekken Central announced that players in Korea are organizing a Korean Tekken 7 Qualifier event in Green Arcade on October 24th for MASTERCUP.8. Twitch is said to be organizing this qualifier with it being streamed on the Green Arcade's Twitch channel. This event will be structured similar to the MASTERCUP tournament format so teams of 5 pair up and the winning team that wins it all earn a free flight, lodging and travel to MASTERCUP.8 to compete. TEKKEN 7 Korean Location Test Confirmed for 12 - 14 December!

TEKKEN 7 Location testing in Korea is now confirmed to be occurring on the weekend after this one in Korea's Green Arcade in Seoul and the Bow arcade in Busan! Considering that Green arcade regularly streams Tekken through their twitch.tv channel, perhaps you can look forward to watching a high quality Tekken 7 stream in the future!
