Battle Arena Melbourne 8 | Australian Fighting Game Tournament on May 13 - 15

The weekend after this weekend (May 13 - 15) is Australia's eighth annual Battle Arena Melbourne which is going to be a 3-day fighting game event in Melbourne's inner city. A Capcom Pro tour event, DOA5LR's Battle Royal 2016 qualifier and now recently announced Tekken 7 tournament with a $1,000 pot bonus courtesy of Bandai Namco Entertainment. I myself am personally participating at the event so I hope to see everyone there! YUU NOBI CUP | MASTERCUP 5on5 Tekken 7 Tournament on May 4

Taking place tomorrow at the Namco Hakata Bus Terminal arcade is the YUU NOBI CUP 5on5 tournament. Named after famed Japanese top players Yuu and Nobi, this MASTERCUP tournament pits the best East Japan has to offer against the south in TEKKEN 7. The tournament is being streamed entirely on Twitch.tv so you can watch all the TEKKEN 7 action live on the Game Newton channel. Additionally, later tonight in Japan (May 3) is the TEAM YUU VS TEAM NOBI 'Night before the tournament' event taking place at the same arcade in Fukuoka Japan. Everyone out there interested in watching fierce Tekken competition, this event is not one to miss.

Nobi's Beginner Guide Videos For Tekken 7

Just before Nobi Gaisen 2 Cup took place, Nobi recorded and created a set of introductory Beginner's guide videos for people looking to pick up Tekken 7. It covers the basics of Tekken 7 as well as recommend simple combos that new players should use as they play and learn the game. It covers all the characters available in the current Tekken 7 version out in arcades to play and makes for a neat little resource if you want a place to start when picking up a new character. All these videos come from the Nobi's Beginner Guide OPENREC.tv page and should be available for everyone to see. Final Round 19 | Fighting Game Tournament in Atlanta on March 18 - 20

Taking place this weekend in Atlanta, GA is the Final Round 19 tournament, home to the east coast USA's largest gathering of Tekken competition. For this year, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Tekken 7.0 will be having tournaments at the event while also having some Tekken 7 Fated Retribution cabinets available for play-testing for those attending. Tekken 7 Soundtrack CD Coming Out in Late April

SuperSweep held another broadcast on Ustream yesterday evening in Japan featuring ex-namco composer Akitaka Tohyama (Ajurika) & MONACA's Keiichi Okabe. On the stream, Publisher SuperSweep revealed that the Tekken 7 Soundtrack CD (OST) featuring 25 tracks will be released in Japan in late April. The artists credited for work on the soundtrack are Rio Hamamoto, Taku Inoue, Akitaka Tohyama, Nobuyoshi Sano, Keiichi Okabe & Swedish metal band BatAAr.
