Yosu Hakai Ou Cup - Japanese 7on7 East VS West Battle on June 25

UPDATE: Mastercup later announced that 2 additional players will be playing in this event turning it into a 8on8. Matador joins the Eastern team with Nobi and Yosurin joins Hakai Ou's team.

Starting next weekend is the 'Yosu Hakai Ou' MASTERCUP tournament named after well known Tekken players Yosurin and Hakai Ou. It'll be a tournament event on home turf for Japan's west Tekken scene as they battle it out against incoming players from other parts of Japan. For this occasion, a 7 on 7 EAST VS WEST event is being organised which pits the best Tekken 7 players to decide which region has the strongest players. Leading the Eastern Japan army is Nobi with his team of Kagemaru, Double, Tsubumi, Kabochan, Chanmura & Taris while the Western Japan army is lead by Hakai Ou with his team; Nisshin, Karei, Taisei, MakoRyu, Gen (formerly: Genkids) & Joe. The 7on7 exhibition will take place a day before the Hakai Ou Cup tournament on June 26 and they will both be streamed live on Twitch.tv via the Game Newton channel so be sure to catch all the action live!

Combo Breaker 2016 - Tekken 7 Recap and Archives

Taking place last month, Combo Breaker was a big event that was part of the official Tekken Tour on the road to the King Of Iron Fist North America Finals. As per usual, video archives of the Tekken 7 tournament are available to watch on the Bandai Namco Fight Channel for those who did not manage to watch the event live. Additionally, a well produced and edited Recap video of the event by Esteban is up that gives you great vision at what it is like being at a big FGC tournament event like Combo Breaker. LionZ Den 3 - Official Trailer For 2016

Lionz Den returns this year with Tekken! The premier European tournament series taking place in the UK brings together some of the best Europe has to offer to battle it out and give a good show. Lionz Den 2 last year boasted over 150 entrants in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with very strong international players attending like JDCR, Help Me, Kor and more. For this year, we may see some more suprises for the TTT2 tournament. Registration sign-ups for the event are now open and more from the tournament will come out in the future. Headstomper 2016 | Swedish Fighting Game Tournament on 3 - 5 June

In southern Scandinavia this weekend is the HEADSTOMPER tournament featuring both TTT2 and Tekken 7 (arcade) tournaments. For what I understand is that, since there is only one Tekken 7 setup available at the event, the T7 tournament will only allow the top 16 winners of the TTT2 tournament to participate in T7. Think of the TTT2 tournament as a mini qualifier of sorts. With that said, lots of players within the region will be going and some notable names attending are JDCR from Korea and home boy The Main Man. The event is being streamed and you can catch all the European Tekken action over on Twitch.tv when they go live.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Playable at OzHadou Nationals 14

At Battle Arena Melbourne 8 last night, OzHadou Nationals tournament organiser Youssef got on stage during the finals event for Street Fighter V to announce some big news for the upcoming event in Sydney. TEKKEN 7 Fated Retribution, the upcoming expansion to Tekken 7 arcade that adds more characters and stages will be playable at the event! This will mark Australia's first opportunity to get their hands on the game and try out Akuma in the new game. Additionally for this year, the event will be taking place at the Menzies Hotel which is bigger then previous years. For players in the region, OHN 14 is certainly not an event to miss out on. OzHadou Nationals 14 is scheduled to take place in Sydney, Australia on August 26 - 28. Of course, big thanks goes out to Bandai Namco Australia for making this all possible.
