Harada & Murray Stream Q&A Session During Evo Day 1

EVO 2016 is well underway with Tekken 7 finals starting in a hour from now but during the Tekken stream for Day 1, Michael Murray and Katsuhiro Harada were both briefly on commentary and answering questions from the stream chat. It wasn't too long of a session though but there's multiple points of interest in regards to Tekken 7 that you may have missed if you didn't happen to catch it live. EVO 2016 | TEKKEN 7 Fated Retribution World Tournament on July 15 - 16

UPDATE: We now have our top 8 finishers for EVO 2016!

It's almost time, EVO 2016 is taking place this weekend! This will mark TEKKEN 7 Fated Retribution's first global tournament with players from all over the world coming into Las Vegas to compete. Both South Korea and Japan have sent their best players to try to win it all but will Akuma change things!? There's plenty of high level Tekken going down this weekend and it's certainly not something to miss. For those not in person, you can watch all the action on the TEKKEN & srkevo1 twitch channels when they go live this friday.

The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 2016 - Country Representatives & Event Dates Revealed

The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 2016 website has been updated detailing new information on the global Tekken tournament for this year. TKOIFT 2016 will be running Tekken 7 Fated Retribution and hold Japanese qualifiers in both the cities of Osaka and Tokyo like last year during the month of November. Japan will be getting in total 6 player representatives under the 3 divisions; "Anyone", Students & Female groups in the Grand Finals. Alongside the Japanese, Korea will be getting 8 players, 1st and 2nd place at EVO 2016 will be given spots and player representatives from North America, Europe & Asia will go to the finals scheduled for the 10th of December this year. Tekken 7 & SoulCalibur 20th Anniversary at San Diego Comic-Con

While EVO 2016 is almost upon us this week, San Diego Comic-Con will be a few days after featuring a return of the Bandai Namco Fighting Games panel. Tekken's Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray are once again expected to be in attendance with Markman acting as panel moderator for the session this year. "Special Guests" is teased for the panel meaning we may also see someone new on the panel alongside Harada and Murray (jbstyle was on last year's SD-CC.) As mentioned on the schedule, you can expect new updates on Tekken 7 as well as upcoming TEKKEN merchandise during SD-CC 2016. A surprising addition to this session is a special discussion on the 20th anniversary of SoulCalibur games. It's been awhile since we've heard from the series and this may finally signal something new incoming after all the previous 'Long Live SOULCALIBUR' teasing. Who knows what that might entail but the panel will not be one to miss for those who can make it out and attend.
