King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015 - Japan Qualifier Details

Details on the official website for the Japanese qualifiers for the King of Iron Fist 2015 tournament going down later this year have sprung up alongside the names of every entered participant now that the entry deadline is up. I'm going to gloss over most of the detail regarding the Japanese qualifiers for the tournament but to give you the most important bit upfront: Japan will have 6 qualifying players for the tournament not counting AO and Nobi who have already qualified due to their performance at EVO 2015. Like the Korean qualifiers, Japan will be getting 3 divisions of player entrants but this time from both east and west Japan. MASTERCUP.8 Now Accepting Team Entries

Well not *right now* officially but on September 1st, MASTERCUP will be accepting team entries to the Tekken 7 MASTERCUP.8 tournament which is going down on November 22nd this year.  This is the perfect time to rally up your groups and enter if you plan on attending the event. There is a page where you enter the team details to be added into the tournament but it's in complete Japanese so if you are planning to enter, feel free to send me the details and I can help get the team's entry in. 8/30 Nobi Gaisen Cup Being Streamed Completely on niconico

Nobi Gaisen Cup, the previously announced MASTERCUP tournament being held Fukuoka, Japan that's titled after Nobi's victory at EVO 2015 will be taking place this weekend. It's not the major MASTERCUP tournament that usually happens every year so this is a more smaller regional kind of tournament. As such, they're content to just stream it all on niconico. If you have a niconico account, you can tune into the tournament come this Sunday in Japan. (Saturday in USA)

EVO 2015 Runner-Up AO from Japan is Heading to UTXVI

Once again, the next international competitor entering France's large-scale Ultimate Tournament XVI is BlackEye AO from Japan! 3rd place at EVO 2014, Runner-up at EVO 2015, MASTERCUP.6 & Tougeki (SBO) 2012 championship and even more are all under his belt making him a heavyweight Tekken competitor. AO will be joining fellow Japanese player Take to take on not only Europe's best Tekken players, but also every other international competitor entering. This won't be his first time into the territory either after coming home the champion of France's Republic of Fighters 3 tournament so it will be well worth looking forward to seeing how he performs in the tournament come this October 17th. Only Practice from Korea and Take/Ao from Japan are the first batch of players confirmed for the event with even more players and announcements to come for the tournament in the future so you can all look forward to what will be a great event for Tekken.

Tekken 7 Summer Campaign Now In Effect

The Japanese Tekken-net website went down for about 4 hours today for scheduled maintenance but now that's over, they've added a new batch of customizations into the game. For this summer in Japan, they've gone ahead and added a bunch of summer related swimwear for the cast. Bikinis were given to the girls and the males all got the option to go topless in the game now.
