Backdash Cancelling is no longer required to Backdash into Block.

From the video description:

In previous games, letting go of the second back in a backdash would prevent you from blocking unless you cancelled the backdash. Now it seems that no longer applies.

In other words, this makes back-dashing for creating space and blocking in reaction to an opponent's attack much easier to defend against now that you don't have to cancel the back dash with a crouch. Thanks goes to Bloodhawk for the finding, check out the video he put up on this below.

Tekken 7 Launch Trailer "Bring the Fight"

Findings from Noodalls - Tekken 7 Input Lag Averages at 7.2 Frames

For comparison sake, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on PS3 measured at 95.1ms (5.7 frames) for input lag compared to recently tested Tekken 7 which was found at 120.1ms (7.2 frames). Big thanks goes to Noodalls for testing the frames out and posting them on his twitter,  I laid out the tweets with his findings below. Combo Breaker 2017 - Tekken 7 Recap and Archives

Photo: @tempusrobRelive the hype and excitement from Tekken 7 at this year's Combo Breaker tournament event. Combo Breaker had 180 entrants for Tekken 7 with fierce competition coming together to see who would come out on top. There was exciting moments throughout the event like the the big upsets during pools and the matches during Top 8 culminating in a big Tekken spectacle. Thanks to the fast work of the streaming crew and Bandai Namco, YouTube archives for Top 8 of Tekken 7 are now available to watch if you weren't able to be there in person or catch the live stream. Aris is back from his trip to Combo Breaker and a recap video with his thoughts and experiences from the event is now also up. If you happen to be new around here, this event will hopefully be a good welcome to the world of competitive Tekken and hope to see you around come this June 2nd.

Tekken 7 Day 1 Update Adds Double Elimination & Online Optimizations

Harada previously tweeted that there is a Day 1 update for Tekken 7 and now a version 1.01 went live for people to download onto their systems. Big thanks goes to @YeezyDude for providing the screenshots, the Day 1 update adds the Double Elimination format to the game's Online Tournament mode as well as includes optimizations for the online functionality. Preloads for Tekken 7 is now live across PS4s, XB1 and on Steam so if you own the game already, you can start downloading now.
