Tekken 7 Story Mode Costumes & Bear Recolors Now Available in the Arcades

The line of new content coming to arcades and not the home versions of Tekken 7 continues with today's newest additions to the arcade Tekken-net web shop. A set of Kuma & Panda recolors are now available to get which look based on a Halloween attire followed by a golden recolor for the bears. Some of the Tekken 7 story mode specific outfits which only appear on the home versions are being transported to the arcades also featuring Nina's leather suit, Kazuya's evil eye, Jin's rug cloak thing and Heihachi's appearance during the final part of the Story mode (spoilers oops).  Once again, these additions are only for Tekken players in the arcades so no word yet if the players playing at home will be able to use any of these for the time being.

Tekken-Net Service for Vanilla Arcade Version of Tekken 7 Coming to an End on May 31

A Tekken-net service closure notice for the original Tekken 7 release in arcades is coming to an end on May 31st, Bandai Namco announces. The 'Vanilla' release of the game which is the version of the game that came before the 'Fated Retribution' update will have online network functionality shut down and an update patch to enable simple offline play. This will not affect most of the Tekken playing audience at home with the Console/Steam version or arcades with Tekken 7 Fated Retribution, this will discontinue the online network for the original Tekken 7. This includes some parts of Asia that haven't updated to FR yet, or regions in South East Asia and Oceania which were unable to get the updated version of the game since Bandai Namco decided to not offer it to them. Come May 31, those vanilla Tekken 7 cabinets will no longer allow online matchmaking, Banapass card functionality and Tekken-net online website services. Summer Lesson X Tekken 7 Collaboration Announced for the Arcades

Update: The official video trailer for the collaboration from Tekken channel has now been added.

Summer Lesson and Tekken 7 Fated Retribution are coming together to throw a collaboration for the arcades. Starting from April 4 after Tekken 7 receives the Ver. T update, players can play T7FR and log-on to Tekken-net to receive a set a of Summer Lesson collaboration customizations for most of the female cast in the roster. The costumes will see all the characters attached with the looks of the three current Summer Lesson characters; Hikari, Allison & Chisato. There's also some Summer Lesson related interface customizations like lifebars and player plates that can also be obtained and equipped. The Summer Lesson x T7FR collab was announced during the Kelot Cup 5 stream which unfortunately has archives locked to subscribers but, here are twitch clips and screenshots of the announcement.

Tekken 7 FR Update Ver.T Adds More Customs & Stages to the Arcades

The arcade version of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution is getting a new update come this April, the Tekken-Official website announces. T7FR Version T07 will be arriving in arcades in Japan and Korea on April 3rd at 7:00 AM and is said to be adding more stages and customizations into the game. Considering the notice of the update is simply brief and not very detailed, I think it's fair to think that this update is adding the remainder of the stages that are in the console version of Tekken 7 but not yet in the arcades. So I'm speculating that maybe stages like the night version of the Helipad, Brimstone and Fire and the Precipice of Fate could perhaps make their way to the arcades. T7FR Update Ver. T is said to include customization additions as well as overall game stability updates so there is that to look forward to if you happen to have access to the arcade game. Tekken 7 - AfreecaTV Tekken League Season 3 Matches with Knee, Qudans, LowHigh, Malgu & More

The Group A & B stages of Season 3 of the AfreecaTV Tekken League took place this past weekend and there was plenty of just really good Tekken matches from the likes of Knee, Qudans, LowHigh, Malgu, Help Me, Jeondding, Chanel and UlsanGoDing to come from it. I think a surprising aspect during these Tekken 7 matches were the character picks some of the players went with in here. There's plenty footage of high level Korean Tekken from here so it's a recommended watch if you want to see how the Tekken pros do it. These matches were streamed live over on the AfreecaTV streaming website but the VODs are now available on the NiceGameTV YouTube channel so check them out:
