SEA Major 2014 | Fighting Game Tournament Streamed Live from Singapore

South East Asia Major 2014 is currently going down in the Alienware Arena in Singapore and features famous players such as BooK, ZF, Kuro Kuro and AK competing as well as the local talent from the region. On top of that, Bandai Namco recently announced a bit back that they were adding another $1000 to the prize for the grand winner of the TTT2 tournament there. I'm being told that the archives for the tournament will only be accessible to those that are subscribers so to ensure you don't miss out on anything, try to watch the event live!

AK Acquires New Sponsorship, Might Go to EVO Depending on SEA Major Performance

Alexandre “AK” Laverez - the so called 'child Tekken prodigy' that you may remember after getting 3rd in last year's Global Championships has recently gotten sponsored by the SMM Philippines Multimedia company. With this sponsorship, he's gotten a free, all-expenses-paid trip to SEA Major 2014 which is being held in Singapore on the 20th of June which is roughly a month away. Depending on how he performs in that tournament, the sponsorship announcement teases that AK may also earn himself a trip to EVO 2014 in Las Vegas potentially adding to the international competition that are said to be attending EVO such as AO (JP), Chikurin (JP) & BooK (TH). TTT2 - Japanese Tournament, Kumites & Online Ranked Matches ft. Kuro Kuro & Knee Archives

There was a suprising amount of Tekken going on this past weekend. First off, Kuro Kuro & Shana (both Japanese players) visited Korea to interview Korean players for the Tekken Mura website and play some Tekken. Kuro Kuro went to Knee's house to stream online Ranked matches with him onto his niconico community page. Secondly, Nobi and BKC went to the Oita prefecture in Fukuoka for a kumite event as well as a random 2on2 tournament inside the Amusement Spot arcade. Lastly, Namco held a Kumite event in Osaka, Japan featuring the recent Ranking Battle winner Amigo as well as Osaka's own Burimaru and Matador. This was all streamed on niconico but for those who don't have premium accounts, I've got it all archived on YouTube below.
