Bandai Namco Presents the Tekken Pro Championships with Over $10,000 in Prize Pool

1.5 Million Yen is on the line today in Japan as 8 officially recognized 'Pro' gamers for Tekken 7 battle it out. The action kicks off at 5:45 PM in Tokyo on March 24 which translates to 1:45 AM Pacific and 4:45 AM Eastern time so you might want to grab a coffee for this occasion. The top level players from the country competing in this double elimination tournament are Yuu, Noroma, Hakai Oh, Take, Nobi, Pekos, Double & lastly AO. This high profile Japanese tournament event is being simultaneously streamed live on the official Twitch Tekken channel and the losers side of the tournament being broadcasted on the 876TV YouTube channel so be sure to tune in live if you don't want to miss out.

Tekken 7 Sets ft. Killa6, Mr. NAPS, Kkokkoma, Anakin & More from the Atlanta Tekken House

Lots of high level Tekken action has come out of ATL with players like Kkokkoma, Jimmy J, Lil Majin, Fab, Inkog and more making their way over to play sets. These matches were streamed live over on Anakin's Twitch channel a bit back but are now available to rewatch on YouTube for anyone that missed out. You wouldn't want to miss any of the Killa6 matches in the least cause all the shit talk during the matches are pretty hilarious. Tekken 7 Version 1.12 Update Adds Noctis Compatibility & Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights

Word came in from the official Japanese Tekken 7 website, Update version 1.12 is being rolled out soon that will add compatibility for the newly releasing guest character, Noctis Lucis Caelum. For people that own the character or the season pass, this update is required so that you can later activate the DLC when his unlock goes live. In addition to Noctis though, the overall game and online stability have been adjusted in this version but there isn't that many details about them to go with it. Lastly for players on Steam, the game will be getting Nvidia's Shadowplay Highlights functionality which allows your graphics card to capture certain moments in your gameplay as small clips that can easily be shared online. They work in Ranked, Versus, Player Match and Tournament modes and will highlight moments such as getting Rage Art finishes, super slow motion activations, a 'Great' victory and more. The notice for this update went live now but keep an eye out for this update to download in the really close future.

It's Up to Harada if You Want to See Kazuma Kiryu in Tekken Says Yakuza Game Producer

Going by the Yakuza general game producer Daisuke Sato on the recent Yakuza 6 Gallery interview, they're open to the idea of having Kazuma Kiryu in Tekken but Bandai Namco and Tekken's Katsuhiro Harada have the final say. Fans of Kiryu really seem into the idea of the inclusion after Tekken has been on a crossover frenzy with Street Fighter's Akuma, Fatal Fury's Geese Howard and Final Fantasy XV's Noctis appearing in Tekken 7. You can see it in the room while the question is asked too, I'm sure Kiryu would fit like a glove in Tekken but so far no news on additional content for Tekken 7 beyond the season pass has been mentioned. Summer Lesson X Tekken 7 Collaboration Announced for the Arcades

Update: The official video trailer for the collaboration from Tekken channel has now been added.

Summer Lesson and Tekken 7 Fated Retribution are coming together to throw a collaboration for the arcades. Starting from April 4 after Tekken 7 receives the Ver. T update, players can play T7FR and log-on to Tekken-net to receive a set a of Summer Lesson collaboration customizations for most of the female cast in the roster. The costumes will see all the characters attached with the looks of the three current Summer Lesson characters; Hikari, Allison & Chisato. There's also some Summer Lesson related interface customizations like lifebars and player plates that can also be obtained and equipped. The Summer Lesson x T7FR collab was announced during the Kelot Cup 5 stream which unfortunately has archives locked to subscribers but, here are twitch clips and screenshots of the announcement.
