Soul Calibur II HD Online Gets Japanese Release Date

You might have not known this but, SC2HDO was never released in Japanese on the Japanese PSN or Xbox Live Marketplace. Come 3 months later after the Western Release of the game, Namco announces that the game will finally be coming out in Japanese on the 20th of February. The release is pretty much identical to the western release except that the game will be in Japanese and the Japanese voices will be in the game as well as English voices. To make up for the long delay, Namco will release the game online for 1,990円 for a limited time before it goes back to 2,990円. Additionally, you can receive some free items for Soul Calibur Lost Swords if you own SC2HDO.

Soul Calibur Lost Swords Release Date Set for 6th of Feb, Ivy Confirmed in Roster

Namco Bandai announced today that Soul Calibur Lost Swords - the free to play, single player, Soul Calibur game for PS3 will be released on the 6th of February this year. Additionally, the release will come with 7 playable characters in the game, the newest of which announced is Ivy Valentine. Screenshots and an introductory trailer for Ivy have been released as well as some first look into a newly added 'Tutorial' mode for the game and some enemies you can expect to see in the game.

SC LS - Game Delayed to 2014, Astaroth, Pyrrha & Nightmare Revealed

Fans of the upcoming free-to-play Soul Calibur: Lost Swords game will be in for a longer wait, seeing as Namco Bandai have announced that the game is being delayed and will be releasing in 2014. The reasons cited for this announcement was that Namco Bandai wanted longer development time for the game to help improve overall game quality. It's not all grim news however as Namco have also revealed 3 upcoming fighters for the title. Astaroth, Phyrra & Nightmare will be included in the game's roster and there's some new screenshots & videos of them below.

Soulcalibur II HD Online - Legends Never Die Trailer

Namco Bandai has just released the Launch trailer (Legends Never Die) for the HD, Online version of Soul Calibur II. The game will arrive on the Playstation Network as well as the Xbox Marketplace worldwide on the 20th this month. Soul Calibur Lost Swords - New Character Trailers & Images

UPDATE: The JP Beta Version is now up on the PlayStation Network. You can find it on the PS3 by searching for "SoulCalibur" or you can get the beta through here: SOULCALIBUR Lost Swords：βテストver.

Namco Bandai have put out a large batch of new images, character trailers as well as updates to the official website for the game detailing the features in preparation for Beta test version's release tomorrow. The Beta test is currently restricted to only the Japanese Playstation store but players outside of Japan can easily create a Japanese PSN account and download it for free.
