Soul Calibur Lost Swords Coming to an End on November 30th

Some bittersweet news for fans of Soul Calibur. The F2P single-player online PS3 game Lost Swords has been announced that the game will be closing up and no longer available to play come this November 30th. Bandai Namco are giving this game kind farewell and 'send off' with a new ranking quest and in game sales/deals for a certain period to commemorate all the times with the game from launch. The series is 'graduating' on from Lost Swords and the video announcing the news says it all: "The warriors may fade, but their souls will ignite again."

SCLS: Cervantes "Great Pirate Resurrected" Trailer

Bandai Namco today announces and reveals Cervantes for the free-to-play SoulCalibur title 'Soul Calibur Lost Swords' on the PlayStation Network. An update was pushed out for the game and there is an unlock event for Cervantes currently going on for those keen on unlocking him. The announcement today comes with some screenshots, an introduction trailer and a small bio for Cervantes.

SCLS: Character Introduction Trailer for Patroklos

A 'new' character for Soul Calibur: Lost Swords announced - "Patroklos" from Soul Calibur 5. His addition to the roster announcement comes with news on a new quest for the free-2-play game which you can unlock Patroklos & Hilde and potentially earn a new set of armor dubbed the ''Angel Armor." The quest will start on the 28th of May at 4PM this month and will last until the 11th of June next month (all JST). You can see more images of Patroklos or the Angel Armor set below.

SCLS - Worldwide Soul Edge Ranking Event To Begin

Soul Calibur Lost Swords (PS3) will soon be rolling out an in-game event worldwide where players will be ranked on how many fragments of Soul Edge they find in battles. Should you find yourself high enough on the leaderboards for the event, you may potentially earn pieces of the new "Wolf Breast Armor." To help you tackle some of the quests, equipping any of the White/Dark Knight armor series of equipment will double the damage you do during the event and using either Nightmare/Taki/Ivy will net you a large HP bonus. The competition is to start on the 14th of May at 01:00 PM. (JST)

Soul Calibur Lost Swords Out Today on PSN

Bandai Namco Games Community Manager J. Kartje ushers in the new free-to-play, PS3 exclusive, single player only Soul Calibur: Lost Swords game on the Playstation Blog. You should be able to find the title to download and play later today when the Playstation Network updates it's game's listings. As added incentive to try the game out, logging into the game within the first four weeks grants you a set of bonus items that you can use in-game as a special gift from the Project Soul development team.
