Tekken Revolution (PS3) Is Coming To An End On March 21, 2017

The free to play Tekken game that was announced back in E3 of 2013 and released on the same month on Playstation 3 has now announced that it is closing down game service and support. The announcement comes from an in-game notice that displays when you boot into the game and Twitter user CensedSonic has posted up an image of the notice. Starting from January 21st, 2017 — Tekken Revolution and all related downloadable content for the game will be delisted from the Playstation Stores. The servers will still be up and running for players that own the game prior to the delisting until the later date of March 21, 2017 which will be the date when the game will fully be shut down.

Galaga: TEKKEN 20th Anniversary Edition Smartphone App Out Now

Celebrating the TEKKEN series 20th anniversary, Bandai Namco have just released a free Android/iOS app that combines the iconic Galaga gameplay with characters from TEKKEN. It weighs in at a small 7.8 mb on Android devices and 12.2 MB on iOS so it makes for a neat little celebratory time kill. You can download the free app at these locations:

Soul Calibur Lost Swords Out Today on PSN

Bandai Namco Games Community Manager J. Kartje ushers in the new free-to-play, PS3 exclusive, single player only Soul Calibur: Lost Swords game on the Playstation Blog. You should be able to find the title to download and play later today when the Playstation Network updates it's game's listings. As added incentive to try the game out, logging into the game within the first four weeks grants you a set of bonus items that you can use in-game as a special gift from the Project Soul development team. SCLS - Worldwide Release Almost Here, Taki Added to the Roster

The worldwide release of the new free-to-play, single-player Soul Calibur game is almost here Namco announces today. The game will be releasing to worldwide territories outside of Japan by the end of this month (No specific date mentioned) and to celebrate the occasion, Taki has been revealed to be featured in the game. This news comes with the new key art you can see above and new images and a trailer for Taki.

Tekken Revolution - E3 Stage Demo and Interview

Gamespot has recently taken the oppurtunity to meet and interview Harada and Murray on the recently announced and released free-to-play Tekken over at E3. In this interview, they discuss several topics such as the decision behind some of the changes in the game, the possibility of adding new content, (including entirely new characters!) the possibility of features in this title to be added to future Tekken games and more.
