Tekken 7 - Namco Sugamo's End of Year Megane Grand Prix

Happy New Year everyone! Contained within are the Megane Grand Prix videos which recently took place in Namco Sugamo arcade as their big end of 2015 Tekken event. Hosted by Shudy, the format for 2015's Megane Grand Prix is 3on3 Teams with Waseda style format which pits every member on a team against each other opponent on the opposing team at the same time. Each win from a player gives the team a single point and the team with the most points wins. This team tournament is not similar to the MASTERCUP format as it doesn't have that aspect of a winning player carrying momentum to defeat an enemy team. Namco Sugamo 'Megane Off' Tekken Competition Match Videos

Back on new year's eve last year, Namco Sugamo hosted a tournament run by the resident Lee/Jin player Shudy. The Megane (lit. 'Glasses') Off ran TTT2 arcades with a new format of team tournament with the player pairings based on a system of 'Ratio' levels. The 4 ratio levels are simply based on the ranks each player has and then the teams were formed to balance out the skill level. Lower ratio players had higher number of players on their team while the higher ratio players had less players on their team or be by themselves. You can see a ratio 4 team (just Nobi) VS a team of 4x Ratio 1 players on the image above. The event was not streamed but Shudy got around to uploading the match footage on his YouTube channel. The videos were recorded with Namco Sugamo recording equipment so expect the usual booty nico quality.

Namco Sugamo 12/3 Ranking Battles Feat. Mr Naps, JDCR & Saint!

Oh so that's what the Tekken official page meant by having 'world champions' coming in to compete for the exhibition tournament this Sunday for the 20th anniversary. Previous Global Championship's 2013 competitors Saint and JDCR from Korea and Jimmy/Mr Naps from the US are currently in Japan and played in yesterday's Ranking Battles in Namco Sugamo! You can watch how these international competitors fare up against the locals at Namco Sugamo thanks to the Sugamo niconico stream. The Ranking Battle was also followed up with a Saint VS Take deathmatch afterwards but it wasn't all completely streamed unfortunately. (The result of the deathmatch if you're curious.) Tekken 7 - Sugamo Location Test Day 3 YouTube Archive

The final day of location test for Tekken 7 is now over and I've uploaded the entire nico stream from it at NAmco Sugamo onto YouTube. This with the previous stream archive comes to a total of over 10 hours worth of Tekken 7 footage available for viewing on the internet. Enjoy everyone. October Tekken 7 Location Test Niconico Streams

The upcoming debut of the new Tekken game is this weekend! Bandai Namco's marketing employee HinoP tweeted out the niconico stream URL for the location tests that is being held in Namco Sugamo and Namco Nipponbashi arcades in Japan on 4th and 5th of October. Nobi will be commentating the stream at Namco Sugamo while Yuu is going to Osaka's Nipponbashi arcade to perform stream commentary. You'll need to create a niconico account to watch the stream but it is easy to quickly create one here.
