Master Raven Arrives in Arcades on September 15 in New Update Ver. D09

A new update on Tekken-Official details the upcoming update coming to Tekken 7 Fated Retribution in arcades named Ver. D09 on September 15th. It includes the recently announced Master Raven character coming to arcades in Japan and Korea for players to use as well as a new game mode which I'm not sure how to name it at the moment but seems to suggest some kind of 'Item Battle.' In addition, it lists a new wave of game balance changes arriving to the game but since this was a forward notice of the update, the full notes of the balance changes coming will be published in the near future. For now, people looking forward to the character will be pleased to know that they can start watching / playing the character on September 15th in arcades.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Tier Lists From Japanese Players

Translated here are 3 tier lists from some Japanese players (AO, RAGE & Tsubumi) that got to tweeting their thoughts out recently. Tekken 7 Fated Retribution has now been out in arcades for some months and it seems weird ranking things because there are balance changes and new tools that were given to certain characters to be better but then there are characters that pretty much stayed in their usual 7.0 form. Rage Drives are a big factor in these evaluations because they vary from character to character in utility and usefulness with some characters getting a really good RD that augments their gameplay and then there are other characters that got mere combo extenders. An interesting bit to consider is the placement of Akuma in these lists. Coming from really good Tekken players that have used Akuma, they seem to agree on where he sits in the roster. With all that said, the tweet sources for the tier lists are as follows:

Akuma Currently Has the Largest Pool of Higher Ranked Players in Japan

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution has now been out for roughly 2 months and the data on how well certain players and their characters are piling in on Tekken-net to review. The most interesting piece of info I'm taking away from is the amount of high ranked Japanese players for each character. This I feel gives a good idea on not only who is succeeding well in Tekken, but which character as well. If you're not aware, Tekken 7 uses a ranking system that goes from Beginners into the Dans and from there it goes into a series of ranks organised by their color scheme. It's not a 1:1 representation but I would say, a player that got to the red ranks (Genbu, Byakko, Seiryu & Suzaku) in Tekken 7 is roughly the equivalent of a Street Fighter player getting something like Platinum rank in SFV. With all that said, here is all the data I compiled from Tekken-net.

TEKKEN 7 Included in Bandai Namco's Tokyo Game Show 2016 Line-up

Bandai Namco recently published their line-up of games at Tokyo Game Show this year and Tekken 7 is on the list. From the TGS web page that Bandai Namco put up, the game will be playable at the event, have a new promotional video (trailer) be shown off and have a stage show that is going to be streamed live so there's lots to look forward to soon in September. Alongside this, the Tekken-Official website also put up a page dedicated to the home versions of Tekken 7 and it looks like it's going to be the main page for Tekken 7 in the future. A minor detail to include but the TEKKEN 7 logo got updated there (Not just plain white font this time.) Tokyo Game Show 2016 is taking place in Chiba, Japan on September 15 - 18.
