Tekken 7 Version 1.13 Update Improves Online Matchmaking After the Noctis Update

Tekken 7 on PS4/XB1 & PC have just received a new small patch to alleviate matchmaking issues after Noctis' Version 1.12 update that introduced them. Since the online would frequently stop trying to search for matches after a certain point, the temporary fix of closing the game and stopping the game's process in Task Manager seems to no longer be needed. Hopefully the online matchmaking should be a lot more functional for those after the patch. The matchmaking online fix update is now live on Steam and PSN.

Tekken 7 Version 1.11 Update Fixes Juggling Bugs in the Forgotten Realm

Hope all you combo makers out there had your fun, the window to create unique buggy juggles in the Forgotten Realm stage are now being fixed in the Version 1.11 update to Tekken 7. This bug fix update is being rolled out now on Steam and PlayStation 4 but if it hasn't came out for you yet then the latest you can expect to get it is December 22 according to the Tekken Project twitter account. The bugs being fixed in this update are seemingly an unintended side effect of the recent input lag reduction patch where juggles performed on this stage in particular would reset the juggle 'knock back' after a floor break. Usually in juggles the scaling on a moves knockback on a mid-air opponent would increase to let the opponent 'fly' away eventually after too many hits which prevents potential infinite combos. As of Version 1.11, the bugs have now been stamped out. For those on PC, this update didn't break the Tekken Bot.

Japan Paves the Way for E-sports with New Gaming Pro Licenses

Big news for the e-sports industry in Japan has come forward with the recent announcement that official 'Pro Licenses' are being issues from next year. Japan has in the past prevented their really strong players from making a career out of their talent due to strict gambling laws but this new initiative will seperate these "Pros" from the general public. With this news in mind, the upcoming Game Party Japan 2018 tournament (Togaiki) comes as the country's first opportunity to grant legal prize money to these professional gamers in the upcoming Tekken 7 tournament on February 10~11, 2018. Bandai Namco have currently been running their Japan Regionals competition starting with online qualifiers from this month which is leading into their finals play off in January 14 with top 3 finishers from there being granted an appearance in the GPJ 2018 tournament. There's a lot more to this to go on as the new year approaches but for now, you can read the details on these developments and the Bandai Namco support source from the Tekken 7 website:
