MASTERCUP.6 Announced! | Japanese 5on5 Tournament Scheduled for 11/3

The tournament scene in Japan have seen a bit of a resurgence recently with the increasingly popular and successful MASTERCUP tournaments. With the recent huge turnout for MC5 that included over 600 players and also the Tekken development team, MASTERCUP.6 has officially been announced on the official Mastercup website. The date for the new tournament is set for the 3rd of November this year and will follow a format similiar to MASTERCUP.5. More details on the event to follow closer to the event's date.

Seremura Cup - MASTERCUP Summer Tournament 2013 Announced

The official Mastercup website has just announced a new TTT2 arcade tournament set for summer in Japan. Titled the "Seremura Cup," the tournament will be similar to the previous MASTERCUP J1 Climax tournament in the 3on3 format however, this new tournament will be in Waseda tournament style and have the entry team limit capped at 48 teams (144 people total). The event is scheduled for the 11th of August and will be held in Tokyo's Taito Station arcade. TTT2 - Japan VS Korea 5on5 Event Archive & Results

The massive Japan VS Korea 5on5 event in Namco Sugamo has now come to a close with it's recent conclusion and it does not disappoint. The teams on both sides were both stacked with high level players from both regions and the matches certainly show. Since I managed to timeshift the nico stream, I got the full 5 hour recording of the event which you can find below. You can check this previous post to see the competing teams.

TTT2 - 7/20 Japan VS Korea DeathMatches at Namco Sugamo

Oh man this was way too gruesome to watch. Since JDCR, Saint and Knee are in Japan for the 5on5 JP vs KR exhibition matches on the 21st, they decided to go head to head with two of the best players Japan has to offer; Nobi and Ryou (aka Deku) tonight. The deathmatching spanned several hours and was all streamed on niconico so I managed to record it all and have it uploaded to my YouTube channel. You can check it out below.

Namco Bandai releases TTT2 Global Championship U.S. Qualifier Details

Namco unveiled the details regarding their U.S. Qualifier for the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Global Championship event. The qualifier is going down in Round 1 arcade in SoCal on August 17-18 while the finals will take place in South Korea on September 28, 2013. More details below.
