Bandai Namco and Twitch Announces the TEKKEN World Tour

Bandai Namco and Twitch have come together to announce the TEKKEN World Tour. The TWT is a international tournament series with a prize pool of $200,000 with region locked leaderboards across the Americas, Europe & Asia-Pacific which will eventually culminate in the World Tour Grand Finals. Top 5 placers from each region as well as this year's Tekken 7 EVO champion will make up the 16 players in the Grand Finals. It's a bright start for competitive Tekken and now with the game in everyone's hands real soon. Check out the announcement trailer and website for the Tekken World Tour below:

Arcade Tekken 7 Fated Retribution is Getting the Console Characters this Summer

Tekken project team leader Nakatsu was live after EVO Japan's Sai grand finals to present news that the arcade version of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution is getting the console exclusive Tekken 7 characters in a future update slated for Summer of 2017. The list of console characters include Lee, Miguel, Kuma, Panda, Eddy and the pre-order character Eliza so the arcade community in Japan and Korea will have their hands on these characters when the update comes out. In addition, a console Tekken 7 countdown event has been announced and it'll give people a chance to demo Tekken 7 before it comes out on June 2nd. Date of the countdown event is currently TBA but is expected in the near future.
