Tekken 7 Online Status Update for Matchmaking Issues after Version 1.12

After almost a week and a half since the Noctis update to Tekken 7 came out, the Tekken team finally acknowledges the broken online matchmaking from the update. Version 1.12 which was said to bring online adjustments on top of the DLC guest character inclusion had in effect caused waiting times in Tekken 7 to take far longer or worse, resulted in players not being able to find any matches at all. The tip to get around that which was being passed around was to reset the search by turning off the game and killing the game process in task manager before hopping back in again. The status update on these issues mention that they plan to change the online servers settings for Tekken 7 on PS4. They're still investigating issues with the Steam version of the game but also mention that they're planning a patch to hopefully solve these issues. You can find the status update tweets over on the Tekken Project account.

Tekken 7 Version 1.12 Update Adds Noctis Compatibility & Nvidia ShadowPlay Highlights

Word came in from the official Japanese Tekken 7 website, Update version 1.12 is being rolled out soon that will add compatibility for the newly releasing guest character, Noctis Lucis Caelum. For people that own the character or the season pass, this update is required so that you can later activate the DLC when his unlock goes live. In addition to Noctis though, the overall game and online stability have been adjusted in this version but there isn't that many details about them to go with it. Lastly for players on Steam, the game will be getting Nvidia's Shadowplay Highlights functionality which allows your graphics card to capture certain moments in your gameplay as small clips that can easily be shared online. They work in Ranked, Versus, Player Match and Tournament modes and will highlight moments such as getting Rage Art finishes, super slow motion activations, a 'Great' victory and more. The notice for this update went live now but keep an eye out for this update to download in the really close future.

Official Tekken 7 Online Ban Notice for Rage Quitters, Boosters & Hackers

Tekken 7 on Steam was updated a day ago with a 110.3 MB sized update and it seems to be the time to remind people going forward about the online terms of service. Going by the measures to address online violations notice which was posted on the Bandai Namco EU website back on Feb 8, I think the recent Steam update might be related (If it isn't, feel free to clear things Bandai Namco?). Although I don't know the extent of which this will actually prevent Rage quitters, boosting or people hacking unusable characters or stages into the online, the capabilities to warn and ban players are there going by some early reports on Steam. If you need a link to the official online notice for Tekken 7, here's a link as well as some quick quotes from the game's EULA of activities that could land you into trouble.

Tekken 7 Version 1.11 Update Fixes Juggling Bugs in the Forgotten Realm

Hope all you combo makers out there had your fun, the window to create unique buggy juggles in the Forgotten Realm stage are now being fixed in the Version 1.11 update to Tekken 7. This bug fix update is being rolled out now on Steam and PlayStation 4 but if it hasn't came out for you yet then the latest you can expect to get it is December 22 according to the Tekken Project twitter account. The bugs being fixed in this update are seemingly an unintended side effect of the recent input lag reduction patch where juggles performed on this stage in particular would reset the juggle 'knock back' after a floor break. Usually in juggles the scaling on a moves knockback on a mid-air opponent would increase to let the opponent 'fly' away eventually after too many hits which prevents potential infinite combos. As of Version 1.11, the bugs have now been stamped out. For those on PC, this update didn't break the Tekken Bot.

Tekken 7 Version 1.10 Input Lag Reduction Test Results

And it looks like the patch came through with a notable reduction to the input lag! Both DisplayLag and Noodalls have published their testing on the latest Tekken 7 update and found roughly 2 frames of input lag has been chopped right off compared to testing on earlier versions of the game. This improvement to the gameplay comes after months of coding work by the developers so much thanks goes to them for coming through with improving the player experience. The input lag testing for PS4 have been done and you can find them up on Twitter.
