Tekken 7 Pre-Launch Version Network Related Lag & Bugs

Update: Added another video and tweet to this piece.

Tekken 7 came out in Japanese arcades and there's been a huge amount of information on it slowly trickling out. The most funniest bits to hear about the game relates to the game's online functionality since for the time being, you're forced to play online if you want to play another person. Extreme cases of in-game lag have been taped with one really bad case of the game just straight up freezing on the players. There's also some slight lag being reported from players in different parts of Japan but I guess the purpose of a 'pre-launch' version of the game is to test the online connection quality. I imagine this might be a frustrating experience should you be a paying patron of an arcade but these should be ironed out in the game's full launch version coming in March.

TTT2: Knee's Tekken Afreeca Stream YouTube Channel

If you're a big fan of watching Knee play Tekken from his house through his afreeca stream, you'll be pleased to know that Knee has a YouTube channel and is now actively uploading archives of the streams onto it. In the YouTube channel, you can find a bunch of footage of Knee playing online against players from different regions so you'll actually find him playing against Japanese players sometimes such as Nobi, Yuttari Yuuki, Kuro Kuro and more. This is a big recommendation for a YouTube channel subscription if you use that feature on YouTube.

TTT2: Help Me's Online Kumite 6/1

Help Me is giving everyone the chance to play against him in an online TTT2 kumite event with Tekken Mura members. It's open to everyone to participate as long as you sent in the small application to participate in the kumite on the website. If you do manage to play against Help Me online, Help Me will also give you advice and tips to help improve your Tekken play through the Tekken Mura website and through commentary. Entry is free for those looking to get in on this but it is capped at 30 people and probably only for either Japanese or Korean players due to the latency. Help Me's online kumite is going to be streamed on Twitch.tv through his newly created Twitch channel.

Stream Archive of Knee's Online Ranked Matches (2/27)

For those who don't know, Knee streams online Tekken from time to time on the Korean live streaming service: afreecaTV. Yesterday he streamed a long online session that includes the entire Yuuji Cup as well as normal ranked match play up against Japanese players like Nobi, Yuttari Yuuki and Special Pikoham. It looks like the connection quality between Korea to Japan holds up well since the matches all look pretty good. There's a complete archive of the online battles up on Knee's afreeca page. (Click below for an embed of it.)

If you're looking for some good competition online tonight, why not try your luck and find the lobby that Yuu will be hosting with Knee in it? Details on the stream and more can be found below.
