A Tekken Movie Reboot Finds Financing From China's Financing City Network

Fans of the Tekken series may know about the current 2 Hollywood Tekken movies that were released but I've just heard of yet another Tekken movie currently being planned. This new Tekken movie hasn't been officially announced but it is set to be a reboot of the Tekken movie series which I'm guessing is to make better use of the franchise's story and characters and to of course, distance itself from the other Hollywood Tekken movies since they weren't exactly critical successes. The so called Tekken reboot finds financing through the Chinese business platform 'Financing City Network' through a 10 picture deal to produce Chinese and U.S movies with a combined production budgets of around $300 million within the next three years. Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge Live Action Movie Gets New Trailers and Poster

A few things have changed since we last heard of the new live action Tekken movie. The official title of the film is now 'TEKKEN 2 KAZUYA's REVENGE' and it is set to screen in cinemas on August 21st next month. The previous titles of 'Tekken A Man Called X' and 'Tekken: Revenge Of Kazuya' were seemingly placeholder titles for the project. Besides that, everything else seems pretty much the same. We now have a new movie poster and trailers to show everyone since they've made their way online now and since the film is a prequel to the 2010 live action Tekken movie, it may actually try to distance itself from Tekken's original story. Tekken: Revenge Of Kazuya Live Action Film to hit Blu-Ray & DVDs on August 12

Tekken: Revenge Of Kazuya is a new live action Tekken movie which is a prequel to the 2010 movie of TEKKEN. This latest movie was once formally known as 'TEKKEN - A Man Called X' and starred Kane Kosugi in the lead role with Prachya Pinkaew (Ong Bak) directing. The recent Amazon listing (which has now pulled pre-order links) for 'Tekken: Revenge Of Kazuya' shared the poster you can see above, a new change of directors (Wych Kaosayananda) and some of the actors who will join Kane Kosugi in the film such as; Kelly Wenham, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Gary Daniels, Biljana Misic, Charlotte Kirk and Ron Smoorenburg. Tekken: Revenge Of Kazuya is set for release on Blu-Rays and DVDs on the 12th of August this year. A trailer for the film should be appearing online shortly.

"TEKKEN－A Man Called X" Live Action Movie Revealed

UPDATE: Kane Kosugi's blog was updated with a correction that the movie he is working on is actually titled 'Agent X' (temporary name) and an apology to everyone. Harada also mentioned on twitter that he nor the TEKKEN team does not know anything about the movie. Given that the TEKKEN team is mainly a software developer team and the mistake being precise with the 'TEKKEN - A Man Called X' title, I'm thinking that this is some backpedaling after revealing the film to early.

Fans of the illustriously..... Crafted live action Tekken movie which was released back in 2010 will have a new Live action movie titled ' TEKKEN - A Man Called X' to look forward to. The movie is currently being served as a prequel Tekken movie and will star Kane Kosugi (Choy Lee Fut, Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear) as the movie's main character 'X.' The movie announcement and reveal comes from Kane Kosugi's official blog which also details the lead role being his first in a Hollywood production and that the movie will begin filming later this month.
