Double Cup MASTERCUP W1 CLIMAX2014 Niconico Archive

For those that missed out on watching the recent Double Cup tournament in Japan will be pleased to know that all 9 and a half hours of Tekken from the tournament's niconico stream is now live for everyone to watch on my YouTube channel. This will no doubt be of great use to those that wanted to watch the tournament but couldn't because of niconico kicking everyone out for not being a premium member. Video quality is typical niconico quality (640x360) but you can later catch the official YouTube archives of the matches in this tournament with better video quality through the Mastercup Youtube channel when it eventually uploads them. Top 8 of the event starts at around the 7 hour mark with the grand finals at the 9 hour and 15 minute mark. Enjoy.

DOUBLE CUP 2014 | Japanese 3on3 Tekken Team Tournament Streamed Live on July 20th

UPDATE: The tournament is now over and the Top 8 Results have been added!

DOUBLE CUP MASTERCUP W1 CLIMAX2014 is coming up this Sunday and it is actually being streamed in it's entirety on Game Newton's niconico channel. The tournament boasts an impressive amount of teams entered (51 teams - 153 people) filled with players all over Japan and is set to go down in Hokuriku region of Japan. Genya along with Yuu, Pekosu and Nobi will be providing commentary for the event. The niconico stream description mentions that timeshifts are not available for the broadcast of this tournament so it's preferable that you watch it live as I cannot guarantee to capture everything!

MASTERCUP.7 Announced! Japanese 5on5 Tournament Scheduled for 11/2

I'm seeing a lot of 7s this month. A new update on the MASTERCUP OFFICIAL website announces the latest numbered installment of Japan's largest Tekken tournament: MASTERCUP.7. There are some early details mentioned in the update so things might not have been finalized but the tournament is expected to be held in Tokyo's Leisureland Pallet town on the 2nd of November this year and will start accepting entries for players and teams on the 1st of August. You can expect to find more information on this tournament later on in the year. As a small additional reminder, Double Cup MASTERCUP is happening on this weekend so if you're in the area, try to make it out and enjoy some Tekken!

Namco Hakata Bus Terminal Tournament Fest & Tekken Emperor Match Videos

MASTERCUP has uploaded a series of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 videos from the recent tournament this past weekend inside Namco's Hakata Bus Terminal arcade which is in the Kyushu Region of Japan. Alongside the tournament videos, there's also the Tekken Emperor deathmatch videos between Mattari (Eddy/Ogre) up against the Tekken Emperor ranked player: Jigoku no Monban (Kazuya/Jinpachi - name literally means 'Hell's gatekeeper') that occurred right after the tournament. DOUBLE CUP MASTERCUP W1 CLIMAX2014 Announced

DOUBLE CUP is the next newly announced tournament that MASTERCUP is going to be organising this year in the Hokuriku region of Japan. The tournament has a hefty name so everybody will just abbreviate this tournament to "W杯" - W CUP (get it? W sounds like 'daburu.') Anyways, the tournament will be a 3on3 team format tournament with an initial cap of 42 teams totaling 126 players. Its going to be held inside Hokuriki's Bypass Leisureland Arcade on the 20th of July this year and given it's location, Double Cup may not be streamed. Like all other Mastercup tournaments though, the official YouTube channel will surely be uploading match videos from Double Cup so you can at least look forward to that. If there's anything else of note to come from the tournament I'll keep you posted.
