Official Tekken 7 Online Ban Notice for Rage Quitters, Boosters & Hackers

Tekken 7 on Steam was updated a day ago with a 110.3 MB sized update and it seems to be the time to remind people going forward about the online terms of service. Going by the measures to address online violations notice which was posted on the Bandai Namco EU website back on Feb 8, I think the recent Steam update might be related (If it isn't, feel free to clear things Bandai Namco?). Although I don't know the extent of which this will actually prevent Rage quitters, boosting or people hacking unusable characters or stages into the online, the capabilities to warn and ban players are there going by some early reports on Steam. If you need a link to the official online notice for Tekken 7, here's a link as well as some quick quotes from the game's EULA of activities that could land you into trouble.

Tekken 7 UK Championships Announced in Association with ESL

A Tekken 7 tour is coming to the United Kingdom, Bandai Namco has announced today. This upcoming championships will make certain stops in upcoming events in the UK during the months of April & May and will culminate with the best Tekken players the region has to offer at the finals at the ESL Arena during MCM London Comic Con. Hypespotting 6 is officially the first event as part of the championships and will signal the official launch of the tour for the game. While the announcements regarding this year's King of Iron Fist Tournament has yet to be arranged, it should probably be expected that the UK Championships will tie into it in the future. For Tekken competitors in the United Kingdom, check out official announcement and details on the Tekken 7 UK Championships over on the Bandai Namco website.

Bandai Namco: "There are no plans to bring Tekken 7 to the Switch"

--

Word came in from Bandai Namco Entertainment, there are no plans to bring Tekken 7 to the new Nintendo Switch console. There was no news to come from the recent Nintendo Switch Presentation on Tekken 7 there after speculations began stirring after the Nintendo Switch Hori arcade stick images began circulating online. The source of the above comment comes from BNEAU's facebook reply in the announcement post for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 getting a Nintendo Switch version. Big thanks goes to ZeroX_FGC for the heads up on the news.

Bandai Namco Celebrates 20 Years of the Soul Calibur Series

As reported on Gematsu, Bandai Namco recently put out a video on YouTube celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the SoulCalibur series. It takes you back to the series' beginnings with Soul Edge back in December 20th of 1996 and running up to the f2p Soul Calibur Lost Swords which was released 2 years ago. Bandai Namco put out a Press Release detailing the recent Soul Calibur Pachislot machine which is being made in collaboration with YAMASA to sell to that particular market but it also announced that the Soul Calibur franchise has shipped over 14 Million copies worldwide across all the games. The description in the 20th Anniversary video details a Project Soul web page but accessing it right now leads to a test page. You can check it out here. All in all, it's not the new Soul Calibur game announcement we're all looking for but at least Bandai Namco haven't completely forgotten the series.
