Tekken 7 Pre-Launch Version - Looking at the Combo System

Update: Added a few more important bits of information in the stage awareness section.

Tekken 7 is a new game and with that comes with some new changes. Early reports from Japanese arcade goers paints an interesting picture as to how you will want to craft your combos in the new game. Now that bound as we normally use to perform them is altered and mostly removed, there's a new combo extending property that looks to 'bound' the opponent a greater distance then before in previous Tekken games. Just so we're all clear on what to call them, Bandai Namco is officially calling these new moves 'Screw Attacks' (Abbreviation - S!) so I guess the community can move on from calling the attacks Kirimomi/Tailspins. I've also got some other interesting quirks of the combo system in Tekken 7 that I feel like should be looked at so I've added all of those below. Of course, this all comes from a 'pre-launch' version of the game so this could all very well change in the future so do keep note of that.

Import Your TTT2 Tekken-Net Data to T7 to Receive a new Mokujin Lifebar

The official Tekken-Net website updated with a new post detailing the benefits of importing all your previous card data you have in TTT2 arcades into the new Tekken-Net for Tekken 7. Carrying out this operation allows some bonuses to be given to your Tekken 7 card data such as 100,000 in game gold, allowing your TTT2 rank to be displayed on your T7 profile, moving your in-game tournament titles and finally the new customization item introduced in Tekken 7 - a new pair of Mokujin based lifebars. Players in Japan currently have until the 17th of March to import their data if they want to receive all the new goodies on Tekken-net.

Tekken 7 Korean Site Opened

Just recently opened is the Korean official Tekken 7 website. This website will house all the basic and official information on Tekken 7 as well as be a community hub for players in Korea. There's tabs on the site for the game's story, upcoming Tekken 7 League and as well as forums for people to post on but they completely implemented into the site yet. If you're looking to play Tekken 7 in Korea in the near future, I'd recommend bookmarking this site.

Tekken 7 Pre-Launch Version Network Related Lag & Bugs

Update: Added another video and tweet to this piece.

Tekken 7 came out in Japanese arcades and there's been a huge amount of information on it slowly trickling out. The most funniest bits to hear about the game relates to the game's online functionality since for the time being, you're forced to play online if you want to play another person. Extreme cases of in-game lag have been taped with one really bad case of the game just straight up freezing on the players. There's also some slight lag being reported from players in different parts of Japan but I guess the purpose of a 'pre-launch' version of the game is to test the online connection quality. I imagine this might be a frustrating experience should you be a paying patron of an arcade but these should be ironed out in the game's full launch version coming in March.
