@Ocelot, I think this Tekken game will be the darkest one ever.
If you look at the stages, we've already seen a couple of stages where destruction seemed to have taken place(the Ruins stage, the destroyed New York stage) and a few where the surroundings really look Dystopian/dark (the winter stage and the stage on the rooftop with the Dystopian city in the background). Those four places in the game will probably have a important role in the story.
Also, if this is the Tekken game that's going to end the Mishima saga then I just can't help think that it will end with a happy end.
I have a feeling most of the existing Tekken characters and Mishima's will die in T7 so that the next Tekken installment can make room for newer characters and possibly start a new story. One that starts ages after T7's story and of course with the few remaining survivors of the Devil gene eradication..
So I think in T7's story there'll be a lot of characters dying. ;( Environement-wise, we've only seen a few stages and already four of them had a dark feeling. And character wise, I can't really speak out on that but Kazuya in his trench coat sure as hell looks really serious.
Oh and I'm sure Chloe has nothing to do with the story but is just there to help gather Tekken players from other communities.... Cuz I really can't think what her role would be in the story lol?
What exactly is new about this character? She's just another capo.

Yeah yeah, laugh all you want, but if my little trolling tantrums ware all that was needed to get banned, then alot of others should be banned.
At first I didn't know I was banned, I just thought the site was down or had problems loading. Then it went on for so log time and when I heard the news about this new character and nothing on my favorite Tekken news site, I obviously became suspicious.
So Aris, you banned me? Or Flying Wonkey or AAK or some other mod.

You banned my IP-address and it was really really hard to turn off my modem so my computer got a new IP-address. I can't reach my modem easily and it's too much hassle to go to sites that reroutes you to banned sites.

I have A LOT on my mind about this character and Harada's choice, and it's serious stuff. But I can't say that as long as I'm banned. Then there's no point. It's like if you go to the forrest and troll and nobody listens to you, are you really trolling?

It's not that it's a difficult task to reroute yourself and still come to a banned site, it's the whole thing about a site not wanting you. It really hurts, you know! It hurts right in dem feels.
It's like they don't appreciate you at all. I don't want to come to a site that bans me and don't want me around. Am I that bad of a person? No, of course not. Did I cross the line a few times? Sure I did. Was I being too big of a cunt? You bet.
But was all my troll-rage completely unjustified all the time? I think the latest entry to Tekken has shown everybody that mr. Harada-San (peace be upon him) is a wonderful godfather of Tekken who deserves all the praise he can get.
And seriously, the gameplay of this new character raises so many questions:
What's the time difference between Japan and everyplace else? A couple of months? Because it sure looks like it's April the 1st in Japan already.
Is Lucky Chloe the lovechild of Lili, Ling and Christie? They weren't annoying enough separately?
Is Namco just running out of new moves to give their new characters? Is that why half the moveslist is just blueprint of some of the older characters?
Who is mr. Harada-san (peace be upon his soul) thinking he is pleasing with this character and this moveslist? Newcomers? Oldtimers? Haters? Tekkenlovers?
How big of a problem is pedophelia and child-molestation in Japan? Serious question. Because half their games and cartoons have these little kiddie-girls with visual underwear that dance aroung in small costumes with baby-voices. I mean, is that the sexual fantasy of the average Japanese player?
And you have people like the ones a couple of post above mine that still like T7 because it seems to have 'some really destructed stages and the story will be dark'... go figure!

Here I state that it's not just neogaf who don't like the character design but sites like eventhubs and the commentfield here at avoiding the puddle also.

Now why should you care about this? It's simple;
1) Harada is a moron and doesn't see the value if sites like eventhubs, srk, avoidingthepuddle hate the new design, that the reveal video has more disslikes than likes (try to find something similar ever) doesn't matter. He likes idolmaster and sees more value in his favorite korean forum then the entire world. The scary part is then that he accuses ME of seeing things from the smaller picture or being geographically selfcentered while being to blind to see that he's the one doing the very things that he accuses others of. While you laugh at him saying that I'm from the US cause I talked about those forums and I only want a skinhead muscular fighter I'm honest to god fucking scared about his racial profiling and conclusions he draws from me stating a simple fact.
2) Harada is a moron who doesn't see the value, playerbase (only usa I don't care small forum!), or reactions of the worlds most leading tekken and fightinggame forums. He's clueless. Player feedback is useless and he's surrounded by yesmen (look at the people sucking his dick 24/7 on his twitter regardless).
All in all there was a time when you looked forward to new fightingstyles being introduced to the game. Now those styles are crawling on the floor as a spider, flying through the air as a robot, fightingstyle being "dance" with flips or belly flops or full blown anime lasercannons. Now lolis and kpop dancers. It's not the exeption anymore; it's the norm.

So the case in point is if Tekken is in deep problem and the managment doesn't listen to the opinion of players; they're doomed. I've seen this before it was a nostalgia game called Virtua Fighter on the recieving end then.
I gotta say Reality, I really do respect your opinions and most of your posts and the stuff you say about Tekken is on point.
But while KingJae is a really good player, I don't think the points he made in his downfall video were all on point. It's more of video where he whines and bitches about Tekken not being catered to his own personal taste...
I really like KingJae but recently he's just being so negative, giving Tekken a really bad name and shoo'ing newcomers to Tekken away .

Why-fu I don't really care about King Jae as a player or know him enough as a person. I just feel my heart break or bleed when I see someone showcase emotions like he does, it's clear loves the game and isn't happy about what's going on - as many of us are. Found his channel by accident. Believe me I've defended this game to hell and back, Aris can testify this. But I just don't know any more man. It's just the decisions over and over and over. I feel that Tekken tries so much to change itself according to times now in order to increase sales while ignoring the possibility that they are moving so far away from Tekken being the actual reason behind why people are leaving the game. So many people are saddened by this game by now and the sad fact is that a lot of top players play the game for nostalgia most probably at this point. Maybe I'm just emo this week and I'll cheer up soon.
It's just that fucking nagging feeling of that this game will be dead if evo finals 2015 are between two Lucky Chloes' or that as a sort of testament to how far of the mark we are at this point. If you thought tekken died quick after Evo bobfest just close your eyes and think about that for a while. That feeling of that those supers will still be lazy rehashed animations in the full release etc, stuff like that.

Besides, trolling basics 101 says you can't rage over something that is obvious and is enraging everybody! That's being mainstream. A good troll LOVES everything everybody hates, and HATES everything everybody hates.
My main problem is all the crushing and evading moves are just really difficult to play against. The real skill of the game and the challenge just gets thrown out the window because even if you learn the frames and set up a +2 on block or whatever, some random evading or crushing shit just ruins your christmas. What's the skill in that?
For that reason only I might just main this character.
Reality, most of the people who are saddened, didn't even play the game yet. I know, T7 is not like the older Tekken games anymore but I'm optimistic that this game will still have the same old Tekken feeling. Part of the reason that I think this way is because I haven't heard a single bad thing coming from the Japanese players who have already played the game.
I also read something about Harada saying that he possibly will release different characters in each region.
If that's the case, then I don't see these characters like Lucky Chloe accessible for tournaments.
Best thing actually to do is have patience and wait for a chance to play it yourself. I'm sure it's just persistant negativity around this game that has changed your opinion about the game! Just stay positive. (:

Also, still nobody that has actually played the game has tweeted anything negative about the game. I am glad I trusted mr. Harada-San (PBUH). I actually like him now and am looking forward to this game.
Think about it. No more learning of the frames. If the opponent tries some fancy frametrap set-up, just crush his ass and ruin his christmas.
So many people are crying about how the sky is falling when its only 1 character. We already have 2 more serious types so whats the harm in having a goofy character? She is better than Alisa at least and will have more appeal than adding some lame ass old fuck like Dr. B or Sebastian. Cutesy pop girls grab attention and sell plain and simple.
Her stance and some animations/moves resemble a re-worked Eliza. They are re-using art and animation assets for what they probably think is a more appealing character than a 'meh' vampire chick. Its actually pretty smart since they can add a new character for hype instead off re-using Eliza.
The hardcore Tekken 'purists' got their game with TTT2 and it almost killed the series. If Lucky Chloe is on the cover of every Tekken 7 marketing page and shitloads of people buy the game thinking its some type of fan service/DOA cutesy game but instead get a solid Tekken game then its only a GOOD thing for the series.
The hardcore fans needs to understand that Tekken needs an image change. The core game and iconic characters are not going anywhere.

It is unfortunate so many are turned away from Tekken 7 over this. Especially since I feel Chloe was created to welcome more otaku into Tekken and to be a lovable character, a character created with good intentions. I really thank Namco for her as well, I am very excited to play her. It is difficult to accept comments stating characters like Chloe "are what Tekken has become". Chloe is not Tekken. Chloe and the rest of the cast who becomes forgotten in an instant are Tekken. I do not think it is fair to the classic staples to be treated as if they are not in the game just because of Chloe, her addition has no effect on their presence. Chloe does not change Tekken.
Given so, what person has the right to tell someone "No, you cannot have this character, because I do not want her in this game"? Tekken is for everyone, including the extreme-otaku.
I feel as a community, we really need to work on accepting other's tastes, especially moving forward as there will always be characters created that are not to our or someone else's liking. Yet still, it is important that we can just simply accept those characters as being someone else's cup of tea rather than becoming hate-filled and bitter towards an entire franchise.

It's not a matter of choosing a side but getting both together. I'm sure Harada knows the sales demographic better than most people here so Chloe is probably meant for a specific demographic where most of us don't belong obviously. Tekken community needs more culture!!!
Harada also stated that there still are going to be new characters. So I still see new serious characters coming.
And when you look at which existing characters he has chosen to put in T7, almost all of them are serious characters.
So Harada, imo, couldn't have done it better up til now you closed minded potatoes.
