Such big tournament, such awful video quality.
Seriously only JDCR can compete with Japan. Other Koreans are below Japanese level.
@kekki
i don't know about that. controllers does play a factor. playing with a square restrictor gate vs playing without a gate at all makes a big difference. i play 8-way and then have a hell of a time on standard 4-way gates.
@krknight
Koreans play on k-sticks.
WOW Furumizu humilates the whole Korean team...
@ aldrin
they play on fanta joysticks. no restrictor gates and a bat top. i already know.
you gotta take these wins with a grain of salt. if you take the top 25 japanese players and the top 25 korean players, i would say it's even. as for the top player, i'd put my money on knee. the biggest reason being his ability to play multiple characters at tourney level.
@krknight
I mean they play with k-sticks in japan.
@ aldrin
those cabs have usb ports? definitely gives me a different outlook on the japanese playing level. i still think knee is the top player in the world right now.
i heard that japanese tourneys haven't allowed anything but cabs with sanwa parts since nin took sbo in 2005 i believe.
it would surprise me if they opened up the cabs and switched out the sticks in the middle of the tournament for 5 people out of 625.

Surprise.
thank you flying wonkey!
koreans definitely need to step up. and yes, this surprises me. it's great that the japanese are willing to be this accommodating for master cup. gonna watch without reservations now.
apologies to aldrin and kekki for my ignorance.
It would have been exciting if only the Koreans sent maybe Knee,JDCR,Hao,Saint and Only Practice.
korea definitely could have sent another team. still though, 2 teams versus 124 teams are terrible odds. i was really impressed with japanese play overall.
pekosu's jinpachi was really impressive. pon was also really impressive. i think he could have beaten pekosu if it had been a walled stage. there was a feng/jaycee (kochan i think), who was on with jaycee but kept leading with feng. i think he would have gotten further if he had lead with jaycee.
overall, great tournament.
really? you guys are stupid if you think the mastercup SBO is a method for judging tekken players? why do you think the best Korean players do not go to this shit tournament? because it is not even a best of 3 and it is a completely random tournament which has nothing in common with normal tournaments. the best players in the world come from Korea, the Japanese are below the Korean level and don't be fooled by this crappy 'tourament' its a joke.. oh and wait why don't the Japanese go and compete in Korea then you ask? Well the answer is obvious isn't it? They don't want to get their asses whopped...
