same version bipolar
Shout-outs to flowchart Devil Jin.
UK >>>>> American TEKKEN
Where's Bob!? oooh right this is aint USA..
Why do I get the feeling that on every thing aris post for a while its going to get a bunch of (o this isnt the americans using bob or law) posts. :)
@ xyz
It's just stating the facts man! When was the last time you saw high level Kuma, Paul, Lei, Hwoarang, Xiaoyu etc at a american tournament?? Look at everybody else; Japan, Korea, UK, Scandinavia and you'll see the whole fucking roster!!! You'll see Kings and Jacks and Baeks at top level.
Americans just don't have the talent that correlates to how visual they are in the Tekken-scene on the internet. It's not fair! They just don't have the skills to hold this game interesting anymore, therefore the Tekken-community is dying. God forbid americans have to use actuall skill and strategy to win a fight rather than spaming a few safe-ish moves over and over again. There are only a few people in America still playing this game and they are all mainly tier-whoring! Don't hate -just stating the facts, man!
Yes, I'm sure anybody could make top 8 at any american tekken tournament, no skill or strategy involved at all.
I'd hate to agree, but JackDaniels said exactly what i'm thinking. U.S. T6 seems on life support and the so-called high level US players are letting it happen. Everyone is too afraid to use "low tier" fighters and risk losing to their competitive local peers. Everyone jumps on the same safety spam move boat and we are left with mediocre major tourney battles (EVo *cough*). Yes im just a casual player, and i still see the residual effects of "high tier" favoritism. That type of crap belongs in the SF community not T6.
Thanks again Aris for featuring our videos, and I love reading you guys' comments. I like the insight from other Tekken communities.
I'm gonna agree with Jack on this one Evo 's top 8 consisted of mainly Bob's, Bryan, Law,and 1 Kaz that's pathetic in all honesty and even pool play there was a lot of top tier, that shit gets boring, and takes away the fun out of playing the game. Also @ loldongs bro it almost seems that way I mean yes strategy, skill are all present in american tourney's, but how hard are you really working for your win by playing Bob, Lars, Law...etc? That just shows top tier favoritism. Now an argument to that would be, well nobody wants to fight an uphill battle in a tourney true, but I can bring you to Missouri and so You a beast ass Zafina. I can show you a strong AK from jersey and a couple other players who play very high level low tier chars. There is no excuse for the largest FG tournament in the world to have a 200 man tourney for a game with a pretty well balanced cast to have the top 8 be all players with high tier characters! It's kinda sickening. Please america when TTT2 come out and players start picking their respective teams. I hope we don't make the same mistake twice and follow the bandwagon to try and become champion.
Tier whoring is common for competitive fighting games.
It's the game itself that is boring. With the restrictive movement there is really nothing you can do except for poking.
And if you do poke...hopkick'd and you're gone...i wouldn't risk it either.
Bring back DR Movement! And reduce those ridiculous hitboxes.
Tier whoring? Most of them guys played them characters since launch. Those Law players been Law mains for years. So when you character becomes top tier you should give them up?
That logic doesn't really apply to 4 bobs buddy.
@ Asukaitoptier of course I don't mean rip or james but we all know KOR played Ganryu in DR crow played steve etc. I'm talking about people who switched their mains when DR came out and @ Denun you must mean american competitive fighting games tourneys because the variety in other tournament in other countries says something all together different
I'm surprised no one pointed out that Ryan Hart, the lone Kazuya player in Evo's top 8 this year, hails from the UK!
and the one kazuya player that was actually interesting and landing high execution requirement combo's was from .... the UK.
I love tekken but Evo was an embarrassment and a big blow to the tekken 6 reputation....
I'm pretty much focused on tag 2 and sfxt now....
So--competitors for cash prizes bore audiences, alright. Can somebody please explain this problem in depth?
Nice Nina!
