haha you can tell who was actually good at tag and who wasnt by these comments
you say it ATLzac hahaha.
@Mike Tyson. Only Heihachi had a special mid EWGF in TTT and it was considerably harder to pull off (Jang Iksu actually misses it a few times). Jin's was high and Kazuya didn't have an EWGF back then. Kaz's WGF was also unsafe at cloe range.
Looking at TTT again after so long the 2 things which I'm reminded of are how much better the movement is and how much shorter the juggles are. They make T6's juggles look ridiculously over the top.
yes its technically fantastic, yes its old school, yes its dull as shit to watch. I remember playing this shit thinking it was the greatest thing ever, much like I do 6 now much like I will tag 2, much like I will 7 and so forth. love this series.
Were we all watching the same video? Dull to watch?..........Dude this game is still the shit. You obviously are a Noob son. The spacing and movement such as Korean back dashing these guys showcased was amazing for the time. And.....it's what players today implement mid fight. Block-Space-Punish . That shit was genius. And this was way before PS2 console release. This footage dates way back to 1999 where, if you were lucky, in arcade's you would have a Tekken 3 machine next to Tag. Cmon StraightJacket.
LOL once again, you can tell who knows how to play tag and who doesn't from these comments
infamousminded dude let it go , the game is finished washed up no one cares for it anymore , you can preach your history all you want but get with the times . Tekkentag was unblanced a turtle fest at times with such large backdashes and electrics were everything , tekken 6 is the best in the series so far until tekkentag 2 comes out at least .
Tag is the shit. The movement required to compete at tournament level is enough to scare away a lot of todays players. No rage, no walls, just solid spacing and mixups.
I'd rather bitch about imbalance in t4 haha
I actually think T4 is a pretty fun game if you play in a casual sort of way.
@mike tyson, you must of been gettin' raped for free my Mishimas, OH WELL. I disliked T6 and I ALMOST flunked out of college because of TTT. I didnt even play Mishimas exclusively, Bryan Fury/Paul Phoenix was my team. The game had so much depth homie.
Damn monsters and they're awesomeness.
People who say this is not awesome need to learn to play high level tekken.
I think a balanced game can be boring. I remember back in the SHGL days, I played Alex Valle's Jack-2, and Gun Jack and was very impressed he would rack up win streaks with those characters because those characters were lower tier.
These days since low tier characters dont exist. It's not that fun anymore.
To miketyson.........I never said T6 was a bad game. I love T6. Im jus saying that noobies like you should know their tekken history. And by your comments I can tell that T6BR is your first Tekken. Tekken 3 and Tag were flagship games in the franchise and Tekken wouldn't be where it is today without the success and hype of those games. Havent you been listening to the podcast's recently with Tomhilfiger and Slips? Anyways BR is an awesome game,Let's rep that shit even after Tag 2 drops. im done with you and this endless debate MikeTyson. Oh, and btw you got your ass whooped by some randome irish dude last time you got in the squared circle. LOLLOLOLOLOL.
qoute from rain .. not word for word i forgot
Tekkentag is boring because the better player always win in tournament everyone else might as well go home , T6 is more exciting because of rage and everyone has a chance .
From 1 of the best tekken6 players in the world , so i think i'll take his view over yours anyday .
Oh and i threw that boxing match to the irish guy , got paid millions
HAHAHAHA oh boy
>he thinks Rain's opinion is gospel truth
I bet the sheep stage is your favorite too.
Rain is right about one thing. If certain people showed up to tag tournaments, you already knew who the top 3 were for the most part. It's because there was no bullshit to save you. You were either solid or you weren't.
Tomhilfiger and slips are good examples. When they rolled to tournaments you already knew they were getting top spots.
Now you get wtf rounds because of rage hopkicks and a well placed wall. It is no doubt fun as hell to the very end, but far less rewarding from a competitive standpoint.
Of course it's true what he says, but you might as well start playing Rock-Paper-Scissors if you value his opinion.
Ya i was saying TTT > every other tekken to date still
There's never going to be an era like the TTT era imo.
why wouldnt tekkentag 2 live like to the ttt1 era ? its bringing back old characters , tag combos , walls , better balance then TTT1 we all hope and alot more people who are playing tekken now then back in those days . I understand there was no internet and no online so meets and gatherings were more special , times have changed you lot need to drop that old man syndrome and move on . Its stupid to carry on about how good this game was and so on that time is long gone and never coming back , nobody in the world is playing tekkentag 1 . If it was as great as you guys say surely there would still be tournaments for ttt1 , look at super turbo that game is still getting tournaments to this day and its even older then ttt , fact is the balance was horrible in ttt and just because seeing 1 move over and over excited you lot it didnt for most people . So lets leave it at that , i am so proud of namco for making a quality A Class game in tekken 6 and so is most of the world TK6 in jpn ranked no2 in the arcades for nearly 2 years , was TTT1 no not even close haha
tekken6 ................................................................ tekkentag
Super Turbo's balance is also horrible and it's filled with rather dumb shit. And it also gets played _only_ in Japan in arcades, which is kind of a moot point anyway since the japs play about any game competitively.
And before you start mouthing off, HDR is NOT ST. US and the rest does NOT play HDR in Classic mode, but Remixed, always. And from what I can tell, HDR is being dropped all around.
