MASTERCUP.7 | World's Largest Tekken Tournament Streamed Live on Nov 2nd!

Just becoming the world's largest TEKKEN tournament, MASTERCUP.7 is about to go down this weekend and there's twitch streams available for everyone to tune in! MASTERCUP.7 is a Japanese 5on5 tournament for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with a huge number of players entered (880!) which includes the best the country has to offer as well as some of the best Tekken players from Korea coming down to aim for the prize. This event will be the final send off for TTT2 in Japan so this event is expected to go out with a huge spectacle. Additionally, the Tekken development team is working with the tournament and Harada and Murray are both attending so it's possible we also might see something new regarding Tekken 7. This event will be amazing for all fans of Tekken so be sure to watch it this Sunday (or Saturday depending on where you live)!

MASTERCUP.7 - Premium Promotional Video

Fumihiko Tachiki returns as special guest narrator to the latest Promotional Video for the next in line numbered MASTERCUP TTT2 tournament. The large Japanese 5on5 tournament is set to go down in Tokyo's Pallete Town Leisure Land with a staggering 176 teams of 5 people entered totaling 880 players entered! Among the list of players entering the tournament, you'll find players like Yuu, Nobi, Furumizu, AO, Burimaru, Gen, Deku, the True Tekken God team from Korea, the second Korean team, and just a lot more of really good players. MASTERCUP.7 is set to occur on the 2nd of November, 2014 with the event being streamed on Twitch.tv featuring Genya, Hameko, MarkMan & Team Spooky performing commentary. Tekken 7 Arcade Set For February 2015 Release

If you remembered earlier, there was to be several business meetings this week inside Bandai Namco regarding upcoming arcade games set for release. I've just received early reports from the event that the arcade release of Tekken 7 is set for release on February 2015 next year. This is presumably info pertaining to the Japanese release of the game but if there's confirmation of Tekken 7 in other regions, it should be coming in the near future. Sources below.

Diggin' In The Carts - Episode 6: Featuring Music From Tekken

The Red Bull Music Academy has produced a short documentery series that explores the creation of Video Game music in Japan. The latest episode released online from the series features Katsuhiro Harada and the Tekken music team that offers insight into their thoughts on creating music for the Tekken series. It makes for interesting viewing with if you enjoy this kind of 'behind the scenes' look on the Tekken series bundled with the high production RedBull has. Old School Japanese Soul Calibur 3on3 Tournament Videos

Payopayo8484 uploaded a whole bunch of Soul Calibur 1 arcade tournament footage recently and they're a really cool look into what that game was like back in the years of 1999 ~ 2000 in Japan. FUG was an absolute monster with that Yoshimitsu back in those days. The video quality is pretty low but it's still good for viewing. Thanks goes to APCR for the heads-up.
