1st Annual "Filthy Cup" Tournament in Copabanana, Philadelphia

While it was a big weekend for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 due to the Global Championships taking place, there's also the Filthy Cup occuring in Philadelphia today. The Filthy Cup is a 3D Fighting Game exclusive tournament that will celebrate the Tekken series in honor of the work FilthieRich did for the community. The event will be broadcasted over on Bifuteki's twitch channel at around 6PM EST so be sure to tune in!

RB5G - East & West Online Qualifier Results

The RedBull 5G Competition has recently conducted their online qualifiers for both East & West Japan and we now have top 8 from both regions that shall proceed onto the offline qualifiers. The results are posted on the official site and I've taken the liberty of translating the names and inserting them below for everyone. Although there wasn't a broadcast for the online qualifiers, the finals for this event should be broadcasted on niconico and I'll have more details on it around December 15th.

RedBull Japan's 5G Competition Featuring Tekken Tag Tournament 2

The RedBull 5G event is a national gaming competition set up by Redbull Japan to find the country's best competitive gamers in 5 gaming genres: First-Person-Shooters, Racing, Sports, Fighting & lastly a free genre which is announced to be puzzle games. The event uses qualifiers in East & West Japan and pits the two side against each other in offline & offline qualifiers. It was announced back in June that the Fighting game selected for this year's competition will be Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and RedBull JP have set the dates for the event's qualifiers & finals event. I'll hopefully have more information regarding it being broadcasted closer to the event occurring but you can see the set dates and rules below.

Tekken Revolution - New Update Coming September, Includes Feng & Nina

The official Tekken Facebook page just put up several new images as well as some information on the upcoming update that is coming for Tekken Revolution in September. Featured in the images are both Feng Wei and Nina Williams which are going to be both added to the roster as well as new premium effects, costumes & stages. Tekken Revolution - Mokujin Fest

A newly published update from the official site for Tekken Revolution details a new event called 'Mokujin Fest.' This event will be introducing a new mode into the game called 'Mokujin Rush' which I guess is a neat little spin on the normal survival modes that fighting games normally have. In this mode, you'll be battling Mokujin, Tetsujin & Kinjin repeatedly to rapidly earn prizes such as fight money and gift points. Entering this mode will however require you to earn new 'Mokujin Tickets' which you can gather through online VS matches. The event is said to run from the 2nd of August til the 5th of August (Japan time presumably) so the event should be live now. You can see more details and images of this event below.
