Harada Reveals Image of Tekken 7's New Rendering Camera System
(^^ Click on the Image to enlarge ^^)
Just unveiled by Harada on twitter is the introduction of a new camera system into Tekken 7 that is currently undergoing internal testing. This new camera system will allow the possibility of both players playing on either 1P or 2P side at the same time through a new rendering technique in which the opponent's camera screen is mirrored on the other side of the stage. That's not all that is shown in the image however as we can also observe some new interesting details. First off is the new high CG render of Kazuya, Alisa and Heihachi being used as the character portraits next to the life bars. These will probably replace the old ones and be used on the character select screen. And the other detail is the new stage which you can see on the bottom left.

New stage at bottom left looks similar to Historic Town Square for TTT2!
I like this, but for wack players like me, it's only going to make me stay on the 1P side more often. I wont ever have to practice the 2P side again.
I hope there will be random animals walking around on every stage. Don't you agree?
Harada will be an even bigger cunt if he doesn't include animals in every stage!
I hope you read this, Harada. You stupid cunt!!!!!
For the console version, I can only see this working online. (No way to do it offline without splitting the screen)
It'll just make people lazy! I hope it's optional as I like the challenge of having to adjust because it makes my win just that more rewarding! Think about that also.
Have to admit.. the game looks sick. For many years I was better on 1P side but after some practice it didn't matter the later years. So I dunno.. this might be a good feature for noobs if it's executed right.
Also, good to see J1N is finally adopting! It's nice when simple minds like him are easily persuaded. Good to know I have so much influence on him that I can make him behave the way I want. Feels good to affect him that way. Imitation is the best form of compliment, they say. BOOM! I win on every point!
And Mr. sir Harada-San (peace be upon his glorious soul) is not a cunt. He gave us such fantastic features like fish in hands, trafficsigns on the back and cake-hats to customize out beloved characters. If that is not going to bring in millions of new players I don't know what will. How can you call such a sweet, gentle, beautiful man a cunt? Shame on you! Acting like if flying Ganryus in tutorial mode wasn't good enough for you. All hail mr. sir Harada-San, the wonderful man-god!
So you wont need to play in right side ever again? This confuses me though, how about local multiplayer that share the same screen? Does it means it will be split screen? I can deal with that if thats the case
@sherm-x69x-----> Playing in the right side is the main flaw of fighting games since the beginning, whether its on a stick or a pad. Doing a full 360 or charge supers like guile's double flash in the right side are almost impossible. The only good thing with 3d games are most moves dont need motion commands. but theres still motion commands. Do a great swing on the right side, its mind blowing.
ha hahahaha.. cunty my god, you demolished him! +1 to you. J1N is a fucking loser. A phony wannabe-troll who's probabky jealous of you and just want the attention. Fuck him!
@ t3k4evo
I don't think local multiplayer is split screen, dude! This feature is probably only available on the archadecabinets who are back to back. On console maybe you can only have this when playing online or something. It's cool though, I suck at 2P I can't do EWGF consistently.
Since people think they won't have to practice their combos on the right side with this then I will just exploit it. Everyone will want to start out on the left side so all I have to do is start on the right side and then throw you to the other side of the screen. Now on your screen you will be on the right and I will be on the left. Since you didn't practice your combos and everything on the right then that puts me at an advantage.
Oh my god, I can't believe it, they're at it again! The übertroll Cunty and his fanclub and the easily trolled J1N, making everybody embarassed for them. This is now just becoming sad and pathetic on their behalf. If they wanna keep some dignity now, they better just leave things be.
But I have to admit, sometimes I'm almost looking forward to tuning in to this site and reading the latest drama between those two, fighting like two teenage girls. Kind of wonder if they have any life outside this commentsection, if they so easily get immersed in to it. Most normal, mentally stable people either don't have time to be bothered or at least have the brainpower to just let things go, you know.
Anyway, the game looks really bland to me. I'm not feeling any hype. It's like I've seen and played the same thing for the last 5 years. TTT2 was almost like Tekken 6, and this looks similar to Revolution which also was very much like T6.. so yeah.. But this mirrored image is a good way to ease the difficulty of execution on 2P side for new players.
It seems to me that DNAgent is really onto some good tactics there. If people really get sloppy on their comboexecution and movement from 2P side, just exploit it by throwing them over so they're on the opposite side. Brilliant!
Yes! this the right step towards making Tekken more accessible and fun for everyone!
I have been thinking about this and have always wondered if it could be implemented as it is something completely brand new in fighting games. KBDing and Wave-dashing on P1 has always been better for me however, what happens if I end up on the other side (P2), does the camera quickly switch around? If so, I think I will enjoy playing it even more; there are many times where I lost because of input error from being on the other side or sidestepping incorrectly.
Thank you Harada!
@Tekkenite
Well correct me if I'm wrong, but this comment section IS for trolling right?
I thought we were all on the same page about that...
I'm really interested in this change however Harada has to notice the "BIG CHANGE" on tekken gameplay due to this feature.
Let's say I'm in 2p side and I block feng's Qcf 1+2 which is a frametrap and leaves me on crouch, I can't sidestep to my left since im crouching.
This has always been like this in tekken since it's 3D, but now that the system has changed with this new feature you'll be able to sidestep to the side you couldn't and won't be able to sidestep to the way you could...
Some characters are affected by this change so badly because they could keep the preassure by tracking his opponent as they could only move to one side ( Due to the tracking on that move ).
Somehow that shit is quite broken imo since they will only be able to sidestep to one side while crouching again...
@DNAgent
I might sound stupid but how can that affect the game if that is how it has always been?
Let's say i'm a newbie and I want to choose 1P side since that's the only way I can play. You said that you'd choose 2P side in order to make me be on 2P which is the side i don't know how to deal with...
Isn't that how it has always been? you'll be on 2P since you've chosen it and he ( the newbie ) will be on the 1P as always.
Excuse me beforehand if I have missunderstood you.
This only really changes the position at the start of the round right? If so that doesnt really change much due to the fact that throughout the match the positions possibly could be switched in battle.
@DNAgent
My bad... I thought you said you'll make him be to the opposite side you are by choosing 2P side, didn't read " By throwing "
@Pseudeenym
The point is that the gameplay is not affected by things like which side you start in, it's a matter of what does the 2P see ( in case you are in 1P side ).
If the 2P side plays and sees the screen like he is in 1P side he will be able to sidestep while crouching to his left which he wasn't supposed to be able to.
I liked the old camera system. I hope they still allow you to have random as the option for your side. Who cares about sides? Just shut up and play! If you suck on one side, it's your own fault for sucking!
@texasgollum----> thats really bad if it is. It just means that even today consoles cant handle 60 fps split screen, even though my PC here can handle dual monitors with only a slight upgrade from ps360 architecture. My PC bought in 2008. Even console makers admits that the only reason why games cant handle split screen is because of processing power. Nothing changed since then. So what will happen to the local multiplayer scene like EVO then? It would have big disadvantage.
