Updated (17th Feb): Event now over and done, I've added in the archives and results.

CafeId has to be one of my most favorite Tekken related channels on Twitch. The CafeId crew recently announced the "CafeId Tekken League" which will feature some of the best players Korea has to offer to battle it out on stream. I've added the details of the event below.

Danisen League:

All players will start in in the same rank.

Players will play in a set order depending on their waves.

ex.
1st round) A vs B >> If B wins; B +2pt and advances, A -1pt
2nd round) A vs C >> if A wins A advances, C goes on to play etc

1 win advances the player to the next wave.
+2 points are awarded for each win.

Loser will continue to play other players in the wave until they win

or if they accumulate 5 losses to which they are eliminated.
-1 point will be deducted for each loss.

The Champion of the league is the player with the highest amount of points at the end of the league.

**5 lives rule - A player who accumulates 5 losses will be eliminated in the league regardless of points.

The reason for this style is that in Korea, standard tournaments are kind of rare here as there aren't majors or weeklies etc so Koreans usually are more comfortable with the Deathmatch format. Also there are not many participants so this tournament will give players more time to play rather than in a double elim format. As a viewer, you will be able to see every match as the event will unfold and how players will adapt to each other in this play style. The 5 lives rule will also make for added drama and tension as it poses a threat to the top scoring players in later rounds.

To clear things up, it is now a 5 loss limit, not 3. Also NIN will be commentating so I've heard. Also I wish I had that picture of Jdcr SunChip spooning jdcr from behind as the banner pic for this post.

watch knee turtle at 15:50 and 18:00 in the finals. granted, saint didn't have a lot of time to work with in the first part (15:50) but knee still utilizes a few different tactics to eat up clock.

watch knee break a turtle at 22:39. notice how much health saint has at this point.

watch saint's combos at 26:08, 30:01, 30:15, and 30:45 (my favorite) and notice how vastly different they all are, how far he is from the wall each time, and the angle from which he is to the wall.

add 30:58 to saint's combos. 26:08 and 30:01 are the same... the others are vastly different.
