VF5:FS Release Date Announcement Trailer
BY Aris ON Monday, May 14, 2012 at 4:34PM
It was recently announced that Final Showdown will be released as a downloadable game in America in early June and will only cost $15. Hard to say no to that, even if you aren't a huge fan. I'll be giving VF another try soon. Check out the trailer below via iPlayWinner.

Wow June first. Was expecting it towards the end of the summer more. This is great news since people will actually have some time to prepare before evo and all.
Oops meant 5th of June. Nice that you can also buy the game and ignore the items galore if you want to for such a nice prize as some of us don't care about customization anyways.
What the fuck happend to this game?? I remember it being so beautiful, now it just looks like an outdated PS2 game. Shitty graphics and animation!
TTT2 is now officially the best looking fighting game in history of mankind!
@Bubblehead I think think overall TT2 looks much better graphically, but VF does have some nice animations that are more complex. Just go watch some videos of Leo and then Lion from VF. Lion seems to have more varied/complex animations than Leo does. Not saying you're wrong (TT2 looks alot better overall) but animations are something that VF excels at in my opinion. I'm sure it has something to do with having a small cast and being able to flesh out each character more.
@Bearshaman
I have always felt the same way in regards to the graphical comparison between Tekken and VF. The original VF5 came out almost 6 years ago so the character models look somewhat dated, but they have updated all the animations in Final Showdown to which the combat looks very fluid. The stages have always looked great as well. I'm hoping that if FS does well, AM2 will start working on VF6 and give the characters a more next gen look (similar to their CG portraits). All of this is really just a side note though because the game itself is really fun and involving.
Great surprise hearing its only 15 bucks or only 45 with all the dlc, really good incentive. Im not a big fan of digital downloads though, you basically wont own the game but more like get a fancy rent.
Hey Aris, any chance seeing this game on your stream?
I'm interested in Aries opinion. I've played a couple of hours of VF5FS. As an average player i can't see any big gameplay difference between VF5 and VF5FS.
For me, it plays more like a 2D game rather than 3D and the hit animations doesn't look good for 2012. The good thing, it's a cheap download game and offers network support for PSN and XBLA.
