Soul Calibur 5 Throw CE Escape Explanation
BY Aris ON Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 8:15PM
Earlier today I was linked to a confusing video by crsk4u showing various characters side stepping Ivy and Astaroth's CEs after the super freeze which is usually impossible. I made a video explaining how exactly this is done. I have included the original video below.

P.S; This might not be possible anymore with patch 1.03 that just came out. The patch notes say;
Astaroth
* 236236A+B+K(アギュル・セステムス): 前回の修正に加え、特殊なしゃがみ操作によっても回避される現象について対処しました。
* 236236A+B+K: – Fixed a glitch where the opponent could 1-frame duck the command throw in certain states (such as back-turn)
Ivy
* 236236A+B+K(流転せよ、奇なる運命): 前回の修正に加え、特殊なしゃがみ操作によっても回避される現象について対処しました。
* 236236A+B+K: – Fixed a glitch where the opponent could 1-frame duck the command throw in certain states (such as back-turn)
Not sure myself but since they seem to have tweeked it just putting it out there (Aris can you confirm that it's still possible)?
@Reality, That was a different bug in the previous patch that allowed you to crouch under throw CEs while in back turned. My guess is that this new bug is a consequence of removing the previous bug poorly. Or it simply always existed and was just discovered.
Someone on the forum said that this can be done in 1.02, so I guess it's a coincidence that it's being discovered now. I'm sure it will get fixed.
Ok thanks for confirming for my lazy ass Aris. Hope it will be fixed soon.
surely there's something wrong with the 2_22 input in the series, G2 in sc2 G22 in sc3 and now 22G_2G loops
I also found in 1.02 that you can crouch under Ivy CE (but not Asta's) with some fast tc move just like in 1.01, by doing 22222.. TC move. But it work only on far-mid range of the CE, and in 1.03 its still here.
