New Version of TTT2 to be Revealed at AOU

I had a feeling they would release another version of this game, especially after playing the arcade version and seeing its flaws. This is a great opportunity to solve the minor problems in TTT2 and create a hugely popular fighting game. I wonder if the console version is going to be the final version. Keep your eyes peeled for news out of AOU 2012.

I hope this revision is just removing of the bugs and glitches and the infinites and the insane sandwich comboes and stuff like that. Or that they tweaked the gameplay system a bit, so it wouldn't be just a combo-fest like it is now. I just hope it's not a combo-breaker or some sort of retarded thing like that.

Other than that I don't give a rats ass about 2P costumes or other useless stuff kids rant about. Who gives a shit about what clothes the characters are wearing???? It doesn't affect the gameplay at all... who cares??? I frikin' never understood how Capcom manages to sell DLC packs with nothing but costumes for games like SSFIV and UMVC3 and so on... what kind of morons buy these things??? why?????

And I pray to god (whcih I don't belive in) that it is not new characters. The game is incomprehensible already as it is with 43 characters! Tekken is already a big mess with a billion things to learn about each character before you can enjoy the game at even intermediate level. If they keep adding more characters the game will be almost totally impossible for newcomers!

"According to Namco Bandai's lineup briefing, the New Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be greatly evolved with new elements. We'll have to wait for specifics."

I expect this to be as big of a jump as t6>br was. This isn't just a bugfix or something. Can't wait until next week.

The game hasn't been out that long so how much of a change could it be? I would like some big changes though cause I'm not liking the look and sound of the current TTT2 at all.

I think they will be implementing "Pair Play" and some minor tweaks.

All of you wishing for just revisions might as well give up on that dream, Namco said, and I quote, "greatly evolved with new elements." New elements doesn't sound very good to me, people already had qualms with the bound system being implemented in T6. I'm on Aris with wanting the community to grow, but if the changes ostracize(think I spelled that right lolz) the veteran players, then what is the point? It won't be growing the community, it would be changing it completely. Some could argue that they wouldn't do anything that drastic or that veteran players wouldn't give up on the game becuz of a few changes. But at the end of the day Namco needs to sell games, and they will do whatever it takes to do that;and I know I won't be playing a dumbed down version of tekken no matter how much I love the series.

@DrBhup I disagree on the 2p costume thing, I very much enjoy seeing what people can come up with in the costume creator. It adds a little light-heartedness and creativity to playing the game, which I think is great. I will be honest with you, if they took costumes out of the game I would get pissed off with the game a lot more. It is a little bit harder to get mad when losing when the guy has a tutu or large spoon and fork on his back. I wouldn't go so far as to pay for the stuff, but that doesn't mean it isn't an enjoyable part of the game.

So soon after the release? Is Tekken going to be like Street Fighter with a balancing update every damn month?

Give me regular Oger now!! And give Alisa her backdash from T6BR

I want TTT2 to have a Kinect/PS move edition when it comes out on consoles. For the arcades in Asia/oceania do a Virtual arena version like the one on Tekken 3 where you are the controller but make it much better than before.

If "Greatly Evolved with New Elements" consists of faster movement / backdash I'm all in.

The only character's missing are Kunimitsu and Ogre. That's all this game need's in that regard. Personally i hope they don't implement to many new features and it's just a good solid balance patch.

My Wishlist for TT2

Juggle Damage Nerfed (or Health bar increased)
Number of Wall Hits Nerfed
Wall Carry Distance Nerfed
Faster Red Health Regeneration
Spammable launchers (e.g. df+2 and hopkicks) should be made launch punishable
Movement/BDC Buffed
Chickens should do more damage than the reversal would inflict
Tag Cancel return or raw Tag made safer

Short combo game like Soul Calibur V or Crazy Juggle fest game like UMVC3 bombed, so problem is not about juggle/combos.
