TTT2: Killing Hawk Combo/Setup Cross Counter

With the existence of this combo/setup, this game can potentially boil down to a one hit kill situation. This video effectively shows how abusable this the Killing Hawk can be in actual competitive matches. Check out the video below.

Big thanks to SonDongHyeok for the upload.

I can not believe people actually think this is a problem. Nothing in this video is even scary. Quit bitching

all that needs to be done is have the damage scale more on the unblockable when it is used as a tag assualt move. That solves THE WHOLE PROBLEM. ( Im hwoarang main). People bitching about the tech catch are most likely new and dont know about all the other unblockable tech traps in the past games. T6 Bruce is a perfect example. Dont tech and he can get a float combo or tech into an unblockable

LMAO

Personally, if it's me, then I'll try my best to avoid these kind of situations against hwo players and dish out decent damage with my own combos.

This is pretty scary damage, but I'm pretty sure there are a handful of these in the game with other character with sandwich combos and tech traps, floats tech traps and whatnot.

people just to stupid
this is not JUST a techtrap
you are in a techtrap sandwitch!
while hwo does his ulti you can do with your partner what ever you want.

in this video there are alot of combos that are fucked up or not the most dmg
btw bryan isnt the best walldmg fighter.

and bruce ub doesnt track anymore in ttt2, so if namco thinks this is to strong why bring a different fighter that can do it again + a full combo after it!!!

its legit, so stop whining!

and Bryan's reset w/ the snake edge, if blocked, works out to the victim's advantage..........Launch That Shit!

Anyone who doesn't think this needs to be patched is absolutely retarded.

With Bruce in T6, he had to predict what his opponent was going to do. If he assumed you would lie there, but you tech'd instead, he whiffed d+3,4 and got left in a compromising situation on your wakeup. If he assumed you would tech, but you backrolled at the correct time, he got launched -- if you lied there and did nothing, he lost combo damage and got get-up kicked.

With the Hwo UB the opponent gets hit NO MATTER WHAT. There's 0 guesswork, 0 risk, and payoff that cannot be defended by anyone.

There is no doubt Namco will take care of the situation, so everyone calm the hell down. Does anyone even use Hwo's unblockable in Tekken 6? Ever? Just take the move's damn tracking out so it doesn't hit tech roll and that would PROBABLY fix it... Except then Bryan could dash-taunt in your face for another unblockable launch... Just get rid of the move since NO ONE USES IT OTHERWISE.

Finally...
Aris - Fuck you. <3

You can sidewalk Bruce UB also in his "50/50" amongst other things.

Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 8:20 AM | Unregistered CommenterReality

kodee: hwoarang ub doesn't hit grounded. if you don't tech, then the worst you get is a possible snake edge.

@KoDee
if you just lay there during the tech trap, the goddam unblockable will not hit. Hence the name, Tech trap! also, i dont think this thing has been tested enough to form and definite conclusion. I've only seen it hit during a tech roll, im going to assume that that's all it can hit with that set up.

And this, by no means, is a "one hit kill" situation. First you have to get the juggle, then you have to be lucky enough that the guy is mashing his tech to get the trap. correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't TTT2 always had the possibility of a two juggle win scenario? Two juggles or juggles and a setup? pick you're poison. you're dead either way.

LOL Nin says at the end if you can't use Killing Hawk, than just SPAMM the 2nd broken move in the game(low/high BS from Hwoarang).

Hwoarang is fucking BROKEN.

@jackoffbot
Well, the player can do a Juggle reset either with non-Hwo, so it's a die-die situation...

NAMCO please make the new Bryan move -15!

it's a fucking spamfest!!!

hmm...

@ subt-L and jackoffbot - I'm not certain if there is something that you're just not seeing or if you're unfamiliar with how Bryan's reset setups work (same as they did in T6). I will explain just in case:

The combo that Narakhof was using is <launch> b+1~5 B! [Hwo RFF f+3, UB!], Bry dash d/b+2

The original combo is technically finished after Hwo's RFF f+3. This is where the "guess" comes in... Bryan dashes and does d/b+2 as soon as the opponent hits the ground. If the opponent tech'd, he eats the UB! at full unscaled damage cuz it tracks... If the opponent doesn't tech, he gets scooped back up for reset UB! damage and gravity. Every time you saw the opponent NOT tech in the vid, he was lying perfectly still, backrolling, or something else. Regardless of the option, of the opponent doesn't tech, Bryan hits d/b+2 for reset. Bryan can choose to either hit d/b+2 well before opponent reaches the ground or "just as" the opponent hits the ground for a reset and the combo still works.

Either way, unless Bryan goes for the hop-over for the Hwo relaunch and you lie perfectly still, you get hit. If he chooses to go for the dash d/b+2, whether you simply lie there, backroll, getupkick, or techroll, you get hit. It's as simple as that.

It's the same reason that his Tekken6 reset with launch -> combo filler -> bind!, u/f+3, dash taunt_d/b+2 mixup is so dangerous. However, he now has a 2nd character always covering the techroll option while he covers all the others with d/b+2. It's win-win for Bryan, no matter which option you choose, because Hwoarang is hitting you with the UB!

and i don't think you understand that if you don't tech, then its just a 50-60% juggle. i understand the reset fine. its better than taking the full unscaled unblockable and possible reset.

you're upset thinking that its bad that the unblockable hits at all. i'm saying 1 option isn't that bad compared to the other. it isn't like there isnt 80-90% juggles with wall in the game already without this.

its all cause of this retarded looking Tag assault, seriously wtf was Namco thinking? change, remove atleast do something about the TA
