Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick PRO

Mad Catz has grown into a power house and they are back with their newest stick. The Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro is the newest arcade stick from Mad Catz and it is available for pre order now. I got some time with these at E3 and to be perfectly honest, they feel very similar to the current generation of TEs with a few minor differences. The thing that stood out most to me was that it feels like it has more plastic pieces than the TEs did. Personally, the big pro of this arcade stick is that the design was inspired by the Tekken Noir Cabinet. However, the big con of this arcade stick is that I'm fucking sick and tired of Ryu. If you are into the color scheme or you simply want to add this limited edition stick to your collection, make sure you pre order it from the MadCatz Online Store.

The stick's features include.

  • The legacy of the Tournament Edition continues with the brand new design of the FightStick PRO!
  • Authentic Japanese-style Sanwa Denshi™ joystick & buttons
  • 8-button layout with additional multi-speed Turbo functionality
  • Premium-quality components with genuine arcade layout
  • Controller lock/unlock switch prevents accidental button presses
  • 13ft (4m) USB cable with internal cable storage
  • Connects to console via lag-free USB
  • Storage compartment for efficient cable management
  • 3-way switch enables joystick to function as left or right analog stick or D-Pad
  • Integrated headset port for use with Xbox LIVE®
  • Officially licensed by Capcom & Namco Bandai

Its sweet there's a new stick. But the red doesn't look that attractive.

I am a pad player. Will always be a pad player. Looking forward SFXT more then tekken tag 2 right now. I dont ever care if I get hate for it.

Unless... Aris, does this game have a dedicated tag button??? Are the other 2 buttons needed here?

This is what they call *same shit -new wrapping'. It's all Sanwa-Denshi parts, both the joystick and the pushbuttons. It has a compartment to store the cable. I got the very first MadCatz' SSFIV TE and every stick that has come out since then has been the same, just with different skin. What's so diiferent about this?? Nothing! If you already got a stick (like most dedicated fighting-game players have -unless you're a pad-player) why the hell do you want to buy another one, and another one and another one..???

@PunkMafia The tag in SFxT is done by mk+mp (focus attack from SF4)

HRAP3 is still my favorite stick. I'm too accustomed to the orientation of the HRAP3 where there's a nice suitable gap between the stick and the buttons. Could never transition on to the MCZ or even worse the newer Hori V3/VLX's. I can't believe how close the stick is to the buttons on the vlx/v3's, so damn uncomfortable.

@Jack Daniels I agree I'm more interested in sticks with different parts to see how they feel (Semitsu, Korean Fanta, Happ etc) rather than every single one being made all Sanwa. Hori actually have Semitsu editions.

There is one differene with this stick and that's the shape. It's not flat like many of the others and your wrist and hand will be in a slightly different position. Some might prefer it that way.

This new design is ugly as hell makes it look cheap.. the older models were much nicer, and let's be honest it's for all purposes the same shit..

It's still got turbo buttons, but at least it doesn't say "Tournament Edition" on it.

I think the button layout is more similiar to the one found on Vewlix cabinets.
    Not Namco Noir ones.

Nice stick. Step it up pad players. Leave your little pads at the door when you go to tournaments.

You would think that they would make a North American style version, but NO, ball tops for everyone D:
