Petition To Fix MK9's Shitty Training Mode
BY Aris ON Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 2:22PM
The guys over at TestYourMight.com have put together a petition to fix the atrocious training mode in MK9. Even if you don't give a shit about MK9, please take the time to sign this petition because if we let developers get away with garbage training modes like the one in MK9, future FGs are guaranteed to have the same mistakes again. Who knows, one of those games could be one that you care about. I support this petition 100%. Please spread the word.
Sign petition HERE.

Yes for the love of GOD Netherream plz fix the bs in this game. Training mode, the online de-sync glitch and much more. I like this game alot and want it to be successful. We also need frame data. me personally, I like to disect a game and learn. Evo is on the way and they are failing.
Signed. I got you back Aris...they should also use the random replay function in Soul Calibur 4's training mode ! See you at EVO...I'll be rocking my rare Avoding the Puddle T-Shirt w/ pride...Even though I'm terrible at T6.
They should have fixed this shit before the game came out to retail.
But for a game whose goal was to be at EVO, it should not have the problems that it has. And it's silly that players have to start a petition to fix something basic like training mode in a competitive fighting game.
Tom brady said, record function is going in next patch, not sure this petition shit is worth it, email them, and spam there twitters.
As expected they have fucked up a lot with this game, but after last patch the online is at least playable probably on par with SFIV but better because the nature of the engine and autodial combo's. and at least they are trying and supporting this game with balance changes post release (although some seem poorly thought out)
I agree that a good practice mode is just as important as an options mode in a fighting game. RPGs and shooters do not need practice modes, but for fighting games, the issue can not be stressed enough!
Not this B.S. again (like Tekken 6) -- good thing I didn't buy MK9 lol. Waiting for KOFXIII
lol kof is hot garbage..... but anyways malice u have a valid point there. I hope they fix this shit. if this game was to be tournament worthy....which i hope it wil be, they should of thought ahead. but i guess it the non experience is what plays apart in this.
@Infamousminded: You are hot garbage. Your lacking knowledge must be talking about KOFXII but I was talking about the upcoming KOFXIII lol. I don't think you know too much about the differences between the two games no?
Mortal Kombat is garbage to me. Tekken all the way.
Btw Infamous sucks ass.
@InfamousMindedSUX: - For your information on Andriasang.com KOFXIII Screenshots is the #1 viewed article there for the past 3 days.
I could tell you are so ignorant when you make that comment because you provided no justification or clarification when you simply said it was "hot garbage." -- Pretty much sounded like your mom lol
KOFXIII is aiight, but the questions for that game is whether the home port will be any good and if the netcode is going to be dogshit or not. If SNK Playmore/Atlus get it right, it should do ok.
Stuff like training mode which is essential to the game being competitive, is only important to the 1-2% who play the game competitively. The rest don't give a fuck. So when it has the problems that it has, the question then becomes whether NRS is going to spend the money to fix a feature that only benefits a minuscule part of the total audience for the game.
Plus anyone who has been playing a fighting game competitively in the past couple of years knows how important essentials such as button config and training mode are, and for NRS to drop the ball in the aspect has kept me from getting into this game. The game having a fatality trainer but not a competent training mode shows me where their priorities were.
.........That was the weakest comback ever. Anyways lets not turn this into a flame war as to which fighteris better. KOF is still hot garbage Hello. And you sir don't have to agree with me that's fine. It's tekken all the way for me too as im sure that you probably just started playing. Im 15 years deep son so pipe down and keep your mouth shut. Anyways back to grown folks business.....I support MK getting tons of improvements as soon as possible.
Not that I want to keep ragging on MK, but how the hell are they going to fix the existing problems with the game when they keep introducing new problems with the DLC that they are releasing? This game is a hot mess.
Good question. The dlc is cool and everything , but the game still has its problems and now with the new characters coming, new problems will eventually be found.I hope they patch before evo.
I'm very pissed at the training. Particularly the settings not saving (I don't want to have to take off the useless collision area, hit damage and turn on auto block every time I go into training) and the lack of a record feature (they have a record but you can't use it to record a dummy, wtf?). Actually the entire game is scrappy. MvC3 scrappy, but at least that game has so much for one to do in training. You could be grinding out stuff for days in that training, experimenting team setups, making use of the PROPER RECORD FUNCTION and whatever else. It's actually making me notice the difference between a company with FG experience and one without. Step it up NRS please!
