Soul Calibur 5 Reveal Trailer and Game Info (Updated)

Soul Calibur 5 was finally revealed in Dubai today. No gameplay has been shown just yet but there is a bootleg cam recording of the trailer as well as some tidbits of information. from Eurogamer.net

"The game's new fighting style is described as "lighter, sharper, and more elegant". The online mode has been improved with new features. "Gameplay in IV could be a little heavy, particularly when you were online – we wanted gameplay that was more fast and reactive," Tago said.

On the shift in gameplay: "Maybe the hardcore fans will be afraid that we lose the core of the gameplay, but that's not the case. And for new players it's nice to have gameplay that is more continuous – you don't need to wait as much between moves.

"There is quite some change in the gameplay from SCIV. The pace of the game has been improved, and the combos will be easier to perform, and the moves will be easier to pull out."

Hahaha, what's wrong with SC4? Three words: Hilde and Algol. That game is just horrible, ask anyone who isn't from GameFAQ's.

And SC1 was the best? No. Just no.

SC2 is the best. Everybody played it because it's the best. The Calibur scene was at it's most popular during SC2, then it just died away because Namco is a bunch of idiots. Just like with TTT and DR.

Short trailer but it is early development. I'm trying to become a concept artist it's cool seeing the rough gesture sketch before fleshing everything out digitally etc. SC2 was the best SoulCalibur in my opinion I liked the scale of everything and gameplay. I do love how Namco tries to incorporate something new mechanic wise with every game. Well I hope SC5 is good! I want BALANCED TIER! and SC2 8 way run and make SC5 as fast as SC2... Take the SC2 engine and build off of that lol...and BALANCED TIER! If their going to do the movie thing like Yoda and Vader for console.....They should maybe have Thor and Loki?...maybe MK9 characters Scorpion and SubZero?...I dunno...Let's go Namco! Make SC5 so good that we have a Tekken Crash and a SC5 Crash show! lol.

Sc2 was the best in the series hands down. You are like the only person who believes part 1 was better. Cut it out with the "OLD MAN SYNDROME" older is not always better. You need to keep the core of the game alll the way making the gameplay smoother, GRAPHICS better, BALANCE better, etc... some people just like the older version of the game because it was cheesier and they could get away with nonsense. Imagine if tekken went back to tekken 2 lol where your on the ground for like an hour... so long that you could do a jumping punch in the air that was mad high. Seriously STFU with this the good ole days stuff. Only keep the things that made the game strong and don't mess with that. As for that guy who said do away with the girls with big breasts........................... yeah he is gay. The only thing i don't like and I wish they would get rid of is ring outs....people complain about rage but they are ok with spending all your time beating a person down with skill only to have them hit a throw or a juggle on you and boom your dead..... REALLY???? Thats why I never took this game seriously as much as still enjoyed messing around with it.
