Trouble With Permission to Stream TTT2

As everyone probably knows by now, Super Arcade, home of the EWGF stream, is one of the test locations for TTT2. Unfortunately, as of right now, we do not have permission to record or stream any footage of the game. This comes down directly from Namco. We are trying to do everything in our power to get permission to provide the world with footage and explanations of the game from top players in our area. There is still a small chance that we will be able to stream tonight but it all depends on when the officials from Namco get back to me. Thanks for all your continued support.

Damn, been wanting to hear from you guys all day f5'ing the site. It doesn't make sense - why wouldn't they want to get PR out for their game in the US? Why not hype the arcades who have the game now so more people come and visit? I mean it's not like YT isn't overcramped with TT2 footage already I just don't get it. Also, just what did they expect? Streaming from your arcade has been a big part of your local scene for a while now and probably a big reason behind why you got TT2 and now they basically tell you guys to cut out the streaming and spreading the tekkenlove if you want to have a tt2 machine at your place.

I hope Harada wakes up - the game is released already for crying out loud let people enjoy it. All major games right now of importance don't only have streams - they are pretty much DEPENDENT on streams and videos of tourneys in order to sustain and hype the games lifespan. Marvel in the us would be nowhere as popular if it wasn't for streamculture at this point.

Of course I think that you guys should be allowed to stream. The game is now in the public even though only at a few locations. Anyone could technically walk into a loke test location and record footage undercover and put it on YouTube. I assume Namco's take on streaming the game has to do with them wanting to control how their game is presented before a wider release, but I feel that streaming and capturing match footage would only serve to build hype for the game.

That makes no fucking sense! Why the fuck would Namco not want people to see they're game? Are they ashamed of or somethin?

They can give away 100k dollars at random animecon tournament as "PR" but fails to see how basically killing of the only western weekly Tekken stream at all is a bad buisness idea instead of promoting it.

WE GOT YOU hardcoreplayers WE GOT YOU

So it's technically a location test, who gives a shit, the game is pretty much out in other areas so it's stupid if they don't let you guys stream.

...and if the issue is that it's not your machine, why the fuck would a tripod not be allowed?

The game has already been released around the world !!

WTF Namco

HMMMMmmmmm... I'm not to sure if Namco knows what's in there best interest. I mean this is the perfect way to broadcast how awesome TTT2 in and American arcade can be. the more people watch it, the more they would want it, right? Doesn't that mean more money for them? Its the game a final product, anyways? its not like you would be streaming a work-in-progress Tag2 or anything. Just....the sense...I cant find it!!

Wow. Really? NEC was streamed. the game is already out for fucks sake. Aris tries helping out both the community and simoultaneously doing a little marketing for Namco and they shit in his cereal. Epic fail. Namco, just let him fucking stream the god damn game.

Before jumping the gun, please check out Harada's Twitter account. He's trying to sort everything out and help Aris as we speak!

Totally agree. Mr. Harada is trying his best to let this stream happen. But Harada != Namco, and for what it's worth, he deserves everyone's credit.
