Movement Tutorial for TTT2 and Tekken 6 Part 2: Advanced
BY Aris ON Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 1:35AM
This is a tutorial for advanced movement in TTT2 and Tekken 6. I tried very hard to keep this video short. I know there are tons of little things that I was not able to cover but if need be, I will do a third movement tutorial. Also, make sure you check out BlackPriest's Back Dash tutorial at the link below. Please subscribe to our Youtube channel.

In response to the argument over movement:
Advanced movement techniques exist for the purpose of creating whiffs or confusion. They are merely optional; they are not necessary for competing or winning top-level. To be the best, all you need do is block, punish and break throws. The only reason that advanced movement techniques are difficult is to ensure that they are optional. If they were easy to perform, blocking and punishing would no longer central to winning, and many of the moves and mix-ups and such would be pretty fucking redundant and useless, sort of like they were in T5DR. In T6BR, the game is made more complex and difficult because the individual moves themselves and their properties are the central focus of the game. Advanced movement techniques merely provides the player with the choice not to block and to try to create a whiff, or the choice to try to confuse the opponent.
Simply put, if advanced movement techniques are too difficult for you to successfully execute, or if you feel that they take too long to master, DO NOT USE THEM. Take it from me. I'm pretty god damn proficient with a Korean joystick, but it took the majority of my practice hours to get that way. Because of it, despite wave-dashing or back-dashing like a beast for the purpose of creating confusion or invoking whiffs--which I choose to do only because it is fun for me-- I'll still always lose to the focused player smart enough to center his damage output around block-punishing.
A wonderful tutorial Aris! Thank you for this. It will help in getting back in Tekken scene again! :)
